Devlog - 21st October - Integration Almost Done (NSFW)

Hi,

I'm almost done with the integration. The pony racing game held me a bit up but that works nicely as well. You can see the race finish screen in the screenshot. During the race you see dots progress around the track (like in a racing game). You can also skip that if you want.

Now I only need to render another batch of winner pony images and I'm 100% finished with the betting and race system.

To have Seraphine and Nimhe participate in the race might take me too long to properly do but we'll see. Maybe I can add them while the BETA runs to not delay things further. The code is prepared for that. Also for the three poster ponys ;)
Tomorrow I'll add the pony petwalk code for Seraphine and Nimhe and then 1.50 is code complete.

After that I need 2 or 3 days to test the BETA and then it will be released until this weekend...

That release was way too big for my usual "freestyle" integration process and it bit me somewhat. Sorry for the one or two week shift compared to plan.

But everything is running stable now.

EDIT: I wanted to originally make the little symbols (hedge, water hazard, goalpoast) with AI but it took forever to get something useful. So I just handpainted the icons in Affinity Photo. Quite happy with them.

Yeah, the models themselves weren't that bad. What rather turned me off is the godawful lighting in all HS based games I saw and the lack of camera focus/blur possibility. That is much more suitable for realtime 3D game where it doesn't matter that much imho

HS renders were very good for their time, and for the efford they require. It is much more difficult to make pretty models in non-stylized 3D. Your models are also quite stylized.

Didn't know about that creator. Checked out his page With Harem Hotel and it seems to do very well with 4000+ patrons. HS Graphics though is for me kind of a turnoff due to the flat renders so I probably skipped that game. Headmaster was a bit of an exception to that imho...

Don't sweat it, in general you are a parsec or two ahead of your competition in regards to update frequency and quality. A word of warning though, Runey was such as you, until he completely lost it! So it is good you are remaining vigilant :)
