Hi,
today I implemented a new combat mechanics, area denial mines. They are deployed around your ship, deployment takes up one AP and on collision they cause as much damage as a photon torpedo (w/o AOE), effectively taking out seekers in one hit.
I found them very convenient tactically, as you deploy one set of mines and, if positioned correctly, you can maneuver around a bit to line up the real mobs without having to worry about the seekers, which get taken out by the mines.
I consistently was able to finish the Krell Convoy in one turn with 1 Mine and 4 BFT, so I think tey'll add tactically to the combat. I'll post a combat test version in the beta channel today for feedback.
For the rest of today I'll package and test V1.00 official for release tomorrow.
