Week 328! (Page 482 Script Update)

THIS MARKS PAYMENT FOR THE WEEK OF 11/15-11/21.

And the last script update for the month of November, the final page of the Kale/Fox Kale/Lucy story arc, page 482.

This page contains dialogue I wrote at the start of writing this story arc, at the same time as when I wrote the big talk at the beginning between Kale and Fox Kale, where Kale wanted to tell Bruce about all this mind stuff that's been happening. It's a follow-up to that conversation, Fox Kale having chewed Kale out for wanting to reveal everything to someone so potentially compromising, and now Kale having been thinking about it this whole time in the back of his head. It seems Kale still hasn't totally let go of wanting to tell Bruce about stuff, but it does seem like he's figured out another thing he could do to get Fox Kale on-board, heavily hinting that it involves Max. Max, you'll maybe recall, was the very first invader to Kale's mind, and Fox Kale brought up his involvement several times now. What Kale and Fox Kale intend to do involving Max, though, will be revealed in another near-future story arc.

Speaking of other story arcs, like I said, this at last marks the end of this story arc, which is still tentatively named "The Art of Mental Fighting". I might trim it down quite a bit so it doesn't last like 5 years, but yeah, the gist is still all there. As for the story arc after this one, well, there's two that's been hinted at now, one where Lucy, Kale, and a bunch of Kale's friends all go somewhere in the real world to hang out, which a lot of potential hijinks and plot reveals in the works. Another is the one this page revealed, Kale going to Bruce's house to simultaneously tell Bruce at least some stuff about what's going on and potentially confronting Max. 

A third one I've been wanting to do is a very short one, probably only around 5-10 pages maybe, and it would be about Eve. Basically something like a narrated diary kind of story where Eve talks about her relationship with Kale over the comic, from her meeting him after the Lupin thing at the start, to falling in love and going to the Autumn Ball, to all the bad stuff that's happened to Kale since, and finally culminating in her feelings and thoughts and worries on Kale's condition considering Kale has actually told her quite a bit about the going-ons in the mindscape. I think it'd be a nice break between big story arcs, and it would address someone who's been hinted at being pretty important and close to Kale, but not really having been touched on at all.

I'm not really sure at this point what the order of events will be here at the moment, but I'll have to have it figured out by the time I'm releasing scripts for next month, obviously. I think Eve's might be next just for some brevity at so much Kale/Lucy stuff, followed by Kale's visit to Bruce's house. The real life meet-up is supposed to happen on the weekend, so that can be given a couple days for these other things to happen. Still, might change, we'll see.

As for the, uh, comic page that's supposed to be out. I'll try and do as much as I can before the month's out, but I've been having a weird unknown medical issue for the last month and a half, and it's really picked up and stressed me out hard, making me not want to basically do anything if I can help it. I need to try and get SOMETHING out though, so I'll try as hard as I'm able, and if I can't, then well, another uncharged fourth week I suppose. We'll see. Sorry about all this as per usual.
