The Adventurer: The Saxon King

This miniature is inspired by the discoveries at Sutton Hoo, one of the greatest treasures of Anglo-Saxon history.

His helmet, with its distinctive faceplate, and his shield, reinforced with metal fittings, follow the design of the artifacts found in the royal tomb of East Anglia. These were not just pieces of armor but symbols of power, reflecting the status of a warrior king in the 7th century.

Standing on a mound, sword raised high, this king embodies the essence of Anglo-Saxon royalty—a leader who fights and protects his people with steel and honor.

What do you think of this interpretation of the Sutton Hoo legacy? We would love to hear your thoughts.
