Adventurer Tier: 2025 Road Map

You can find the Bannerman Tier calendar here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/schedule-for-113667168

Alright everyone,

I've more or less finalized the roadmap for next year. You've spoken, and I've listened.

For now, the samurai will be put on hold, and we'll dedicate almost the entire year to the Dark Ages. I'm going to focus mainly on providing you with playable lists for Saga. But if you feel anything is missing for other games, please don't hesitate to let me know so I can see how to fill those gaps.

So this year, we'll primarily focus on expanding the Viking range and launching the Anglo-Saxon and Late Roman Empire lines, especially the troops from the British Isles, with plans to expand further.

For the Anglo-Saxons, I thought about focusing on the beginning of the Heptarchy period, mainly because of the variety. Many Saxon garments are still preserved, but they start adopting much of the Roman heritage. If you prefer something else, now is the time to say so.

I'd also appreciate your help with documentation for the period. There's a lot of translated material on the Vikings, but not so much on the Anglo-Saxons. Plus, in what exists, I find it quite challenging to trace the boundaries in a culture that changes so much over time. If you have any sources that could help me beyond Osprey, I'd be very grateful.

Also- separate shields, I like LBM transfers, separate shields will allow me to resize them to fit the decals.

Damn sad to see we’re not going to be getting many more medieval/fantasy plate armored styles next year. You have some of best historical mix with fantasy armor in the game

Late Roman🥳

All I ask is not to sculpt 'edging strips' on your Saxons etc Tunics. It's quicker & easier to paint them by hand. Also it limits the type of patterns we can paint on the figure.😀

Ah, thank you

have a look at Armies of Anglo-Saxon England 410–1066: History, Organization and Equipment (Armies of the Past) by Gabriele Esposito (he has done a number of osprey books too)

This is brilliant. Thank you

bummer I don't get the musketeers until June, but excited about Gladiators in December. I am pretty happy with everything on here.

What happened to the Mercenaries for the end of this year?

Yeah I totally understand, I am looking forward to you creativity :)

Alex Behelfer

Will that include a retiarius? If so, I'll be happy.

You’ll have 13 gladiators in a single month, along with a small arena. Most of the common types will be covered from the start. Next year will mainly feature champions and some of the rarer types.

It makes more sense to tackle the Rus next year. That’s also why I’ve placed the Varangians there. They have a lot in common with the Byzantines, and the growth will be quite natural in both directions.

Super excited about most of these! My only complaint is that i can’t have them now. But i know they’ll be worth the wait.

Keg and Krow

This is just for the Adventurer tier which is seperate to Bannerman (fantasy).

Th

I really hoped for some proper Rus but I am still so excited to see, what you will create with your magic hands, you are amazing :D

Alex Behelfer

Please please please do the Gladiators over consecutive months - I've got a campaign they would be perfect for early next year if you released them December + January.

Hello, you will no longer be making fantasy models for the old world this year?
