First of all, thank you for continuing to support us in this adventure, which would not be possible without you. We have grown a lot along the way. And we hope that this is only the beginning of the journey and that we can continue in your company for much longer.
This month is the beginning of a new range, which we hope you will be as excited about as we are. On a sculptural level it is by far the most ambitious month since we started
In a few days you will have the usual votes to see which paths we continue to venture.
You will have to choose if you want us to continue with the development of the Kingdom of Nevarra or you prefer us to advance along another route, for example, the Deserts of Ashes or the Fallen County and its vampiric masters.
In any case today is a day of celebration. I hope you enjoy the content, which as always will be added to your accounts around the 15th.
Any problem with miniatures that have not been assigned due to last minute additions, please let me know privately so I can assign them manually.

2023-01-28 16:24:31 +0000 UTCI'm going to say it, I hate your website to the point that I'm considering to unsub, now I know one person makes litter difference and I'm not trying to be a Karen, but I have to spend entirely too much time making sure I download the correct files. I have slow internet and don't want to waste time. For the month of January I login and see I have 4 orders on the "Orders" tab, all are listed as uploaded January 20, 2023, great, lets get downloading, but which one is the new release and which one is updated welcome packs/etc. Please assign names to these order numbers such as "Monthly Release" or in the file names inside of the order, put the date of the release. The website is just a pain to navigate and determine what I want to download. Also, having to download each part of the release individually is a pain.

And on the other hand, there are many details that have not been taken care of, as there may be bubbles, so they would need a good repair work. We have had some problems with 3 or 4 pieces and we are correcting them. I imagine that tomorrow or the day after the files will be released. At that time we will re-launch the review bot, all the old months configured, and December will be assigned to you as well. If you have any questions, please let me know

2023-01-07 17:13:03 +0000 UTCI hear you about the lottery thing, and the knight vote was split. Maybe they should introduce the multiple voting again, or have 2 rounds. As for armies, I only have elves as a fantasy army, but I stay subscribed due to the shear quality of the minis, and that they at least include a non-mounted version of a monster, which means you could add it to any army. For what it's worth, once they do at least a few batches of the human factions, it would unlock a lot of kitbashing opportunities. I notice their newer minis tend to be more customisable and cross compatible (although sadly not the case with wood elves). And when they finally do medieval knights, if they put the much effort as they did with these pilgrims, they would be amazing! Perhaps they could just do a base set of knights with plenty of different head, weapon, sheild, and heraldry options, and then introduce more unique knights after that

2023-01-03 10:51:59 +0000 UTCYes, Last Sword does make the best Elves on the market, better than GW. Imo they nailed the aesthetics. I can't wait to see the Dark Elves ks and the second part of the Wood Elves ks. It would have been perfect if they just kept this patreon focused on Elves. Although their Griffons + knight units are also fantastic. But they decided to do different things and now it feels a lottery in what will be next. If you just want to fill your hard drive withs STL's that's great, but if you want to make a playable army with a consistent aesthic. It sucks, as it can take months before that crucial unit is finished. I.e I think for march Empire core troops will finally be released. Yes, there is no shortage for Lizardmen or Bretonnianesque stls. Very true. But Bretonnia still won the what army next poll. I guess because people wanted to see what LS could do with the mounted knights after seeing all those fantastic Empire knight unit releases. Yes, I know that pelgrims won the unit poll. (barely), but that was because you had if I remember correctly the choice in a pelgrim theme, lady of the lake theme and lots of different knight factions (the tower, the river, ducal and etc...), so the votes for the knights got spread out.

However, a few things - LastSword is a small company and who kniws what other commitments/circumstances their staff have, so they onmy have limited time and resources to do things. Secondly, some people may prefer to get miniatures from different armies to compliment their existing armies by another manufacturer (although its still nice to have the option to get all from one designer i know), Also, there is absolutely no shortage of medieval European and lizardmen out there, and the current lizardmen range is pretty solid anyways, even if not 100% complete. Meanwhile, most elven ranges are either very rigid and tolkeinesque, or too high fantasy, or are just mediocre. LastSword do the best elves, it's their niche in a crowded field

2023-01-03 04:12:27 +0000 UTCDavid, If you are subscribed this month you have a vote what will be next after the Empire month and Elves month. So now you can vote for what will be for april. When a couple of months ago they did the "What army next poll". It seemed to me that the winning army would have x amount of months dedicated to it. So rotating with Empire and Elves. I also thought the undead was a fixed army, but it seems not. Only Empire and Elves are fixed. So if you want to to see a continuation of Lizardmen, undead or the Bretonnian army they just started and are already shelving you have to subscribe. Even if you have no interest in this months release. The way Last Sword Miniatures work is that you start an army and you never know if they will finish the army. It's a bit like Games Workshop. ;-). I.e with Highland miniatures you know, he starts an army and he will finish it. With Last Sword Miniatures it's a lottery. Which is shown in the Patreon numbers. Highland Miniatures has triple the subscribers while both have the same high standard of sculpting.

Nobody is forcing anyone to stay, and LastSword are open about the armies they're doing in the next few months anyways so you can plan accordingly

Now lets roll a dice and maybe in 3 months you will get a next unit for this army. Or maybe in a year, or maybe never... But hey, it's cool that you gave us money for this month." Don't you see the problem? You start a new army and you commit to it, or you go back to your old system. But it's not customer friendly to let people invest in something and than make it a mystery when there will be a possible next release. Lol, that's the way you kill a business. ;-)

2023-01-01 18:30:59 +0000 UTCWhen I voted for your vision of a Bretonnian army, I expected that it would have numerous releases like Empire, Undead, Elves, Bretonnia, Empire, Undead, Elves, Bretonnia and so on, until those armies were finished. Now it's entirely possible that this release for Bretonnia is the only release you will ever do? That without doing a single mounted knight, if we ignore Joan. We still have no idea what your vision was for this army knight wise. It's an army centered around knights.... . Also I have seen you post about the kingdom of Equitania, County of Neverra and now it's the kingdom of Neverra. Very consistent... It seems like a failure. Anyway your communication is very unclear and it seems to me that you shouldn't worry about stagnation, but more on the possible decline of the patreon numbers. The numbers are again lower than when the Elf on drake was unlocked and that one was unlocked months before you started with the this 3 month thing. I can tell you that if I had known that the poll for the subscribers was not for the next Bretonnia unit, but for what army. I wouldn't have subscribed for this month. I have zero intersted in another unfinished range of mini's or wait months / maybe years for a next possible unit. Who knows? You should take an example of Highland miniatures. They work with a campaign system with two opposing armies. It's only one sculptor and he managed to increase his patreon the last couple of months with 400+ new patrons. Almost reaching the 2000 mark! The difference is. He concentrates on two armies at the time and makes certain the armies got the units they need in x amount of months. Edit: You rock at Elves, but now it's getting to unfocussed. Now there are lizardmen players / hobbyiest that want more stuff, you have people that want undead stuff, you have people like me that expected a lot for Bretonnia... In the end nobody is happy.

2023-01-01 17:47:16 +0000 UTCBecause that is what the majority voted for. The elf range is the mainstay of the company. Thanks to which we are here and on which much of our plans are based. It is the range with more sales by far. The human range is growing at a good pace and the sales are going along with it. So far we have no complaints about its performance. The lizard range, was very important at the time, but now the numbers are bad, because it is a range burned by all the Patreons. Undoubtedly all the statistics, even the votes here (with half the votes of the other races in the polls), have clearly shown that it needs a rest. And the rest are not finished ranges. But time is limited. If we see that they stagnate too much, we will advance them via kickstarter. Personally I preferred the previous system. But the majority preferred this one, we have respected it and so far the numbers have given them the reason. Units like this month's would not have been possible in the previous system. It has its advantages and disadvantages.

So it is not useful to vote the following month, when the range is different. And it also gives us time to better manage our work time. This month was started earlier. Fortunately. Because it has been so much work that we would not have finished it. We have not changed anything since we started this system. :)

As I understood it, and I think the majority of your patrons is that when we voted in your poll ’what army next’ is that the next army would be the next fixed army together with the other fixed armies. Than you said that people subscribed for the release of that month could vote for the next units for that army. I stayed subscribed for this month, while I am not particular a fan of this release so I could vote for what unit next for this Bretonnianesque army. You really have to up communication / PR game, because it is confusing as hell. Otherwise just stop with the polls and just do your thing. Instead of this.

Your Modells are simply the best on the market in my oppinion though, and I don't want to tell you what your workflow should Look like or not. All the best for the New Year!

I know you can't please everyone but when I joined it was because we got a bit of everything. I loved your lizardmen , Ash waste and undead. so why must I wait 3 months now to get a chance at what I want . why can't we vote and the top 3 get made. as the way it is going I don't get anything I want anymore.

We have to see if in three months you want us to continue with Nevarra, or change the army. And if we continue what units we will do. As in any other army.
