KEEPER OF THE FLAME

Here is the first of the guardians of the flame.  The idea is that they form a phalanx with the halberds at different heights.

What do you think?

Is this for May's release?

We will make 8 models, 2 for each row, this is the second row, And also the 3 command group.

Thank you. I hope for some models which stand behind the phalanx

On the contrary, it is the real way to use a halberd in formation. Based on the historical documentation we have there are three ways to use the halberd without entering mixed formations. And all three are very similar to pikes. In fact in the regulations of many European armies following the doctrine of the Tercios or the Swiss, the halberd is in fact a light pike used to escort riflemen posted in positions outside the main formation and protect them from cavalry. The formation types are: Formed against cavalry, formed against infantry and advancing. This miniature would be useful for the halberd position in all three systems. But we are going to make an anti cavalry phalanx, which I think is the least represented and most interesting. I would have liked to find documentation on the use of the naguinata in formation. But I have not found anything remarkable. If someone has alfo about it, I would like to see it to see if we can use it in the black guard in the future. https://www.mercurynews.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/EBT-L-SCOTTISH-0901-04.jpg?w=1280

Sounds not like a good idea to me, sorry. Fighting a halberds are way to heay to fight like a smal headed pike and elves are not known for their strength.

looks great!

wow :-)

I think that's a cool idead but some standing poses would also be appreciated! I'd also increase the angle a bit, to allow regiment blocks to better touch bases.
