Lizardfolk Boyfriend: Thruun 2 (complete)

I decide to make blackberry preserves in a hurry, hoping I can get them done in time to send Thruun off with some. Maybe I’m being a bit delusional. Thruun could just see me as a friend, or he could like me for the peace and quiet I offer.

Still, I can’t help but remember our day picking blackberries. He seemed eager to be with me, even flirty. He said my dark skin was beautiful and even helped me to carry back the basket. He came with me when we returned to the village, but made a quick getaway once I invited him inside. All I can do is sigh heavily and overthink things, a bad habit I need to work through but don’t. Instead, I’ll make the preserves and see what happens.

I decorate the jar specially for him, wrapping the top with a handkerchief and ribbon, then adding dried flowers from the shop. I’m not sure if he’ll be at the apothecary again, but I’ll keep the jar there in case he shows up.

I wake from sleep to find one of those small carved objects on my windowsill. It’s an owl this time, with the little ‘A’ carved into the belly. At this point, I have quite a collection of little animals on my shelf. I just wish I knew who was leaving them. I go to the apothecary and, to my delight, I find Thruun asleep at the back door. He’s sitting upright on the bench, his head nodding into the green beans I had hung to dry. I smile and gently shake his shoulder.

“Aren’t you cold out here?” I ask.

His hand touches mine, wrapping around my wrist and moving his fingers so they palpate slowly. “You’re warm.”

He won’t let go, so I step closer to him. “What’re you doing out here? I thought you slept in the carriage?”

“They were fighting again. Wanted to get away,” he burbles sleepily. His eyes barely flicker open.

“We have a spare bed at my place while my sister is gone,” I suggest. “You could always come there.”

“I did. But you’s sleeping.” His head wobbles a bit, and he struggles to keep it up right.

I frown. “You know that sounds creepy, right?”

His eyes blink open and he snorts. “Hmm?” He hand releases me, and I am able to pull away. He rubs his eyes as he wakes. “Who is creepy? I’ll gut him.”

“You are,” I huff. “You said you came to my house but I was sleeping.”

He looks cornered. “Well...” He stands from the bench, a green bean sticking to his scales. “It’s not like I watched or anything.”

I arch my brow. “You’re not helping your case.”

Thruun scowls. “I just left the little owl! I swear I didn’t do anything.”

I think of the line of little animals on my shelf, the smooth stones, all with a little ‘A’ carved into them. “Those have been from you?”

He turns his head away with his usual grumpy expression. “I figured you liked them because you kept taking them.”

I’m breathless. “I do. I just didn’t realize it was you.”

He glances down at me. “I didn’t want you to.”

I hurriedly take the jar of preserves from my bag. “Here. I made this for you.”

The jar seems so small in his giant hand. I thought I used the biggest jar possible, but I suppose anything would be dwarfed by his size. He rolls the jar in his hand while a smirk blooms on his face. “These the one we picked?”

I nod sheepishly. “I wanted to thank you. I enjoyed the company.”

“So did I.” He looks me over, his smile growing softer. His eyes seem dreamier. “We should do it again sometime.”

I try to gulp down my heart as it pulses in my throat. “Do what?”

“Enjoy each other?”

My face burns red-hot. “The way you make that sound,” I giggle. “I thought you didn’t like people.”

He holds the jar close to his chest. “I don’t like people. But I like a person.”

My face is so warm it goes up through my ears and down my neck. “I should get to work.” I try to dodge away, but Thruun chuckles. “You don’t have to tease me.”

“Not even a little?” Thruun bows his head a bit. “You’re quite cute when I do.” He brushes his fingers against my cheek, then traces the line of the headwrap around my forehead. “I’ll stop if you’re adamant about it.”

Turning my head away, I unlock the back door. “Would you like to come in?”

“Not yet,” he murmurs. “We’re leaving tomorrow morning.”

I nearly drop my keys. My heart sinks down into my gut, and I look back up at him. “I thought you said your group was fighting again.”

“They are,” he scoffs. “About leaving and how to do it.” His eyes become downcast. “I wanted you to know, in case you miss me or anything.”

I close the door and turn to look up at him. “Where are you going?”

“Wherever the elf demands. I’m not too sure. I never quite listen to her.” He smiles a bit, then shakes his head. “We could always use another healer. You’re good at that, right?”

The call to adventure, what I had always been waiting for. The only thing is, I know it isn’t mine. I stave off tears as I shake my head. “I wouldn’t be any good out there. I can barely fight, let alone run.”

“Too bad. You would have been a great addition to the team.” His smile perks up. “Thanks for the jam.”

I grab his arm before he turns away. “Pick some with me again! Before you go!”

He looks at me in surprise - hell, I would even look at me in shock if I possibly could. He gently eases himself into my grasp, as if eager to do so. “What about the shop?”

I tug his arm away from the door. “No one will notice.”

He takes my hand, holding it tightly in his grasp. My heart is pounding so hard and I feel I may slip at any moment, but I grasp back. I tug him away, taking us back into the woods along the path to the blackberry patch.

“We don’t have a basket,” he chuckles.

“Oh.” I stop in the middle of the path, looking back the way we came, then up at him. “I forgot about that.”

“We can use my cloak,” he offers readily.

“Aren’t you worried about stains?”

He shrugs and laughs. “Blackberry juice won’t be the worse of the stains on my cloak, trust me.”

I nod. “Only if you’re sure.”

“I’m positive,” he winks.

We continue walking, still hand in hand. I wonder if he notices how clammy my hands are. His feel callused in places, but his scales are smooth. I thought they might be rough like sand, but they’re more like satin. As we come up to the blackberry patch he stops to take off his cloak. He doesn’t seem to mind his bare chest and back, but I do. “I’ll lay it out here. Then I’ll bundle it up when we’re done gathering what you need.” He smiles at me.

“Are you always this considerate?” I laugh.

“Heavens, no!” He grins smugly. “Just to you. It’s a first.”

I try to swallow my heart back down. “Well, lucky me.”

“Very lucky.” He motions to the blackberries. “Shall we start picking, then? What is it you intend to do with this second batch?”

I shake my head and fidget with the hem of my apron. “Well, I’m not sure.”

He looks at me knowingly. “Then why did you need blackberries?”

“To extend my time,” I mutter.

Thruun steps towards me again. He drags his knuckles down my cheek as he dips down closer to me. “You could have just said so.” His voice is a low, raspy whisper that takes my breath away. “Stealing away into the woods with you has been a daydream since we met.”

My insides squirm, and I laugh nervously. “You said you wouldn’t tease.”

“This is honesty, Ama.” His low voice rumbles through my ears and down my spine. “I dare not jest about this.”

“Oh.” I wrap my fingers around his wrist. “Why is that, then?”

He touches my good-luck charm and rubs it between his fingers. “Do you know what this is?” he asks.

I shake my head. “I found it when I was little. My sister and I used to clean the rooms at the Dry Bone, and Lady Medda let us keep some of the things we found. I always thought it was pretty.”

“It is,” he says softly. “It’s a charm from my homeland, given to those who travel in hopes they will return safely to bring it back.” He smiles at me. “Usually, it is traded between lovers.”

I exclaim softly as my cheeks burn more.

“The one who gifts it usually wears it for a long time, strengthening the charm so when they give it to their loved one, it will protect them and ensure their safe journey.” He releases it from his fingers. “I envy whoever you chose to give this charm to.”

“You tried to buy it from me before,” I murmur.

“I figured you had no idea what you had. Now you do.” His palm cups my cheek and tilts my head so I can look up at him. “So are we going to pick blackberries?”

I can’t help but laugh. He joins in and all at once, we’re kissing. I clutch his chest, his arms wrap around me. I moan at his rough tongue and he groans as his kisses go down my neck.

“Ama,” he breathes. “Ama, let me taste you.”

I tremble at his touch, shaking with nerves and joy. His strong hands roam my body, going under my skirt and cupping my thighs and rear greedily.

“Let me be buried in your skin to give you pleasure. Let me drink the nectar of your thighs.” His voice is a seductive fire against my ear.

I whimper and trail my hands down his chest. “Thruun, don’t tease me.”

He chuckles as he eases me down onto his cloak. “I am more serious than I have ever been. I want to make you blind with pleasure.” He hikes up my skirts, removing whatever is in his way. He smirks, licking his chops as he gazes at me.

I can barely catch my breath, and I want to cover myself. “Don’t stare.”

“How can I not?” His fingers move down my stomach, while his other hand clutches my thick thigh in his hand. “This beautiful, rich skin, so soft, so warm.” He shudders, smiling all the while. “It’s even better than I imagined.” His fingers slip over my mound and gently press at the plump lips.

“So hot,” he hisses, his tongue hanging from his mouth. “I’m melting.” His fingers push deeper, and we exclaim in unison. I throw my head back, tossing it aside as I close my eyes. His thick finger dips inside, finding me wet and pliant to his whims. “Fuck!” he hisses. “Oh fuck!” His finger moves, stirring to make a wet sound. He pulls his finger out and licks it clean. He grins and looks down at me hungrily. “I knew you’d taste sweet.”

I peer up at him. “Do I?”

He kisses me and moans. “Of course you do.” He kisses down my body, lowering himself so he’s between my thighs. He breathes against my skin, licks it. His scales rub against me as his tongue slides along the length of me.

I can’t catch my breath after that, I’m either moaning or gasping with the affection he gives me. He sounds vicious as he feasts, but his touch is the exact opposite. He’s gentle, stroking my skin and lavishing in it. His kisses and licks make me melt in a puddle, while his fingers stir me up into a thick froth. There is no ground under me, and I feel nothing solid except for him. I throw my head back, squeeze my thighs tighter, and let myself go with a force so strong, it steals my breath and my body so all that’s left of me is my will.

Thruun’s laugh makes me aware of myself again. I can slowly begin to feel my toes, my legs, my belly, my arms. I moan deeply as he rises, seeing the smug look of satisfaction painted on his face and glazed by my nectar.

“I don’t think I need to ask how you feel.” His tongue licks around his lips. “You made that very clear.”

My breath comes out in a shudder. “Give me a moment.”

He lies down beside me, pulling me into his chest and gently stroking me. He kisses my forehead and temple  as I return to this world. I relax against him, resting my soft cheek against his hard chest.

“Take your time, Ama. There is no hurry today.”

“But there is,” I whimper. “You leave tomorrow!”

He kisses me and nuzzles his cheek against mine. “Don’t worry about that,” he whispers. “We have now, we’re here. It doesn’t not matter.”

I sniffle slightly as tears come to my eyes. “I don’t want you to go.”

He sighs heavily. “Neither do I. But I must see this to the end.”

I take off the charm and place it around his neck. He touches it gently, and looking into my eyes we kiss again. He lays me back against his cloak and spreads my thighs with his waist. I need not think about anything else except his body within my grasp. The satin feel of his scales, the sharpness of the ridges along his spine.

“Come in,” I beg him.

“Be certain when you ask me this,” he moans. “I will understand if it is too soon.”

I grasp his shoulders tight. “I am certain.”

He kisses me, slowly sliding his cock until it finds purchase between my folds. I moan into his mouth, struggling to hold him tighter and closer. He’s so hard all over, even when he’s inside me. The ridges along his shaft rub deep, making me wetter. I watch the charm around his neck bob and sparkle in the light.

I cannot savor him enough. My mind keeps flooding with passion. We take our time though, forgetting what is left. I am not sure how long we are in that blackberry patch, but I know that by the time we are done, his scales have left an impression on my body.

When it begins to grow dark, we know we must go back. He takes me home, and at my door I embrace him tightly. “Will I see you again?” I whimper.

He taps the charm around his neck and smiles. “I have to, so I can return this.” He kisses me and sighs heavily as he pulls away. “I cannot make promises about when, so do not wait for me if it becomes too long.” He kisses my forehead. “Just think of me, Ama, when you find the time.”

He leaves early the following morning, and I wake in time to watch as the carriage vanishes over the horizon. I know I will see him again. It’s just a matter of waiting, that’s all. I continue on with my life as I had before. But in that time, Lady Medda passes away, so my father and I take over the Dry Bone. We decide to repair it to what it was when we first came here, which takes a lot of time. It also helps me to take my mind off things.

Time goes on and the inn reopens. There is a huge celebration, and the pub is completely packed. I’m rushing around, making sure everything is going well. The kitchen is fully staffed for the first time in who knows how long, but we’re so busy I’ve taken up waitressing tonight.

I step outside after a while to catch a breath of fresh air. As I lean up against the wall, I look up at the night sky and wonder if Thruun is seeing it too. I smile, knowing he’s probably somewhere thinking the same as me. I stand up again to go back inside when I notice someone leaning by the door. My heart stops, and I hold my breath. His tail swishes back and forth before he takes a step towards me. He extends his hand, offering me a small gold charm.

“It worked,” he says softly. “Best charm I’ve ever had.”

I clutch the charm and throw my arms around him, hugging him tightly. “I’m so happy to see you!”

He moans as his arms wrap around me. “I told you not to wait.”

I can’t let him go. I fear he’ll turn into dust and fade away if I do. “You were lying.”

He chuckles. “Maybe a little bit. But I still wasn’t sure how long I would be gone.” He pulls back and cups my cheek with a smile. “Still as lovely as ever.”

Tears prickle at the corners of my eyes. “Same to you.”

He chuckles and picks me up, kissing me deeply as he spins me around. “What’s going on in there?”

I grin as my feet touch the ground. “My dad and I took over the inn, so we’re holding a grand reopening.”

“So then, your place will be quiet?” He tilts his head to the side.

I take hold of his hand. “Or we could go back to the blackberry patch.”

“I’m just happy to be involved.” His fingers lace with mine. “I’ll be staying here for a while. Do you need guard work at the inn?”

“How long?” I ask hopefully.

Thruun strokes my cheek, then dips down and kisses my forehead. “As long as that charm is around your neck.”
