Hi everyone, I hope you've all been well. :)

As usual (see my About page) I'm not super talkative regarding updates and what I'm working on. So real quick, I've been here working on CakeMix, making it better. It's a lot of work.

Over the past month it became clear that the sex system I kept trying to do was not coming out the way I wanted. I've been making and releasing sex games since 2001 so I'm no stranger to making that all work, but this time I just kept coming up against issues that I wasn't happy with. There are at least two VR games out there already that do VR sex amazingly well (VAM and Captain Hardcore), and I kind of started wondering what my point was in trying to do the same thing they were. Am I trying to do what they do? No. Am I trying to do something cool and fun and interesting? Yes.

So... I'm going to focus on what I do best and enjoy most these days, which is Character Creation. CakeMix as a character creation system is where I feel it can best shine. That's where I'm putting in the most effort.

If you are here for VR sex, I really did try to make it work as well as I wanted it to work. Thank you for your support, but at this time I've put sex on the back burner. Please do check out some of the other games I mentioned that are knocking it out of the park in that arena.

Where does that leave CakeMix? Same place as it has been. Robust character creation.

Aside from improving the base project, I've also been working on a side project that uses CakeMix character creation as its starting point, and it's more focused on a specific genre (Horror). I'll let you know when that is ready, and it will likely be on Steam so I'll have Steam keys available for supporters at that time. Hopefully that project will bring in some much needed income so I can keep going even further with this whole thing.

That's where we are. Again, I don't post often. I am sitting here working full time on these things every day. It's my job.
