SexSim2 : Alpha 1a (Environment Editor)

Here we go! This is the first alpha release of the new SexSim2 game.

As you might know, we've been commissioned to make this game, and the client has allowed us to share beta versions with you, our patrons. When the game comes out it will be available on their web site, but since we're the ones making it we've worked it out so we can make more things for it and do what we like with those things. So that's what we're going to do, and we'll share them with you all as they are created.  We can also share alpha and beta versions of the official game and add-ons as we proceed, which is what this post is for.

This first release is to test out the environment editor, currently set up for making island levels. Viv and I (Giselle) have worked super hard on this so we hope you enjoy it. Many thanks to you, our awesome patrons, for help making it possible for us to keep doing what we do!

So yeah, have fun with this one. We'd love to see what kind of levels you come up with.

Download:

To get started, just download and install this file:https://sexsim2.com/_files/SS2_Beta/SexSim2_setup-Sept-26-2019.exe

Instructions:

When you run the program, choose the graphics settings you want, then once you're on the title screen click the "Scene Editor" button. That will load up the editor. If you go to the "Levels" tab, and hit "Load", you should find some sample environments to check out or use to make your own.

The "Objects" tab has all the things you can drag into your level. This particular setup is for island levels, but later there will be other types.

The "Sex Hot Spots" objects are for placing where you want sex to happen. In the actual game (coming very soon for you to test!) the characters can walk around and when you choose a sex position they'll head for the nearest one. So place them wherever you want the characters to have sex. You can overlap them as well, and then if you want to "hide" one of them, just click it and then click "fade".

When painting terrain, there's a special texture at the end of the list which is a sort of magic one. As you'll see when you click "regenerate grass", you'll get, uhm, 3D grass wherever there's a grass texture painted. Anywhere you've painted the "magic no-grass" texture, however, there won't be any grass generated. It's easier if you try it than trying to understand my rambling. Give it a shot. So if you want some sex positions in the grass but you don't want blades of grass poking through people, just use that special texture. That seems more complicated than it is. Just try it, haha.

Anyway, let us know if anything is really bizarrely difficult or broken or whatever, and of course any suggestions you have. At some point soon we'll have a new build where you'll be able to try out your levels with the characters in them. In the mean time, have fun making cool levels and please share screen shots with us if you want!

Comments

Glad you like it Tommy! We do have a house environment for SexSim 2 that will be editable but it's interior only at this point (rearranging furniture, moving sex positions, things like that). Having a exterior city type environment would be fun though and something we've heavily discussed and even roughed up concept art for so that may be something we can do in the future.

Works great. Love that things you're trying to place automatically realigns and adheres to other objects you've already placed (putting anything inside a rowboat floating on water instead of having it be placed on the seafloor below the boat). Though I didn't know what to do much with the terrain tools. I personally am more interested actual buildings and designs instead of island terrain, just my input.

Excellent, thanks for trying it out!

Ripened Peach

seems to work well

has anyone tried this out yet? No comments or likes on it, just want to make sure this post has been showing.
