Vampire Boyfriend: Gabriel (complete)

Gabriel has my head in the kitchen sink, digging his fingers into my scalp to work up a rich lather. He smells like my shampoo and body wash, and he’s still wearing my shirt and panties. Amon is sitting across the room playing cards with Pidge, who keeps glancing at Gabriel whenever he moves. Gabriel is rinsing my hair out with a surprisingly serious expression.
“So,” I clear my throat. “Gabriel, where did you learn to do hair?”
Gabriel steps back and pulls my sopping-wet hair out of the sink. He squeezes it, then takes a towel to it. “Well, you know Marie Antoinette?”
I stare at him in surprise. I knew vampires could live for countless years, but to hear they had known one of the most famous women in history was astounding. “Yes!”
“Well, I read a book on the wigs of Versailles, and I just got the itch to figure out how to do that for myself.”
I’m disappointed. “Oh, so you styled wigs?”
“Wigs, dogs, rich older women, rich older men. Whatever came my way.” He moves my chair so he can sit behind me and comb my hair.
“Gabriel’s held more jobs than common sense,” Pidge sighs.
“I don’t like being held down to just one thing,” Gabriel sighs dreamily. “I feel you can only be happy when you have change in your life. You can’t sit in the same spot forever and feel good about it. Sometimes you have to jump up and down, run around, chase fireflies. You have to move from the spot you are in to find the spots you belong.”
“Have you ever stood still?” Pidge asks.
“Nope!” Gabriel shakes his head. “Now, let’s see here.” He fluffs my hair out. “Are we a blonde? Or are we a red head? Your name is Lucy, after all. It would suit you to look like a plump little cherry.”
I’m a bit nervous about this. It’s an impulsive decision, brought on by Gabriel’s charm and beauty. Most of my life, I had kept my hair dyed a solid sheet of pure black. I got used to it and considered it my own style. Now I’m changing it? Just because some pretty eyes looked my way? I clear my throat, but my voice still cracks when I speak. “I figured you would put some sort of color over the black.”
“No! I’ll have to strip that out. How long have you had this shoe-shine black anyway? When did you join the Ash People?” he titters excitedly.
“I’ve been dying it black since high school. I used to have really mousy hair. My mom called it dirty dishwater, and I hated it. So I just started putting black dye in it.”
“You do this? No wonder.” He stands and puts on an apron. “Well, we’re going to transform this little black bat into a goddess of the night.” He smirks. “You know, Elvira is actually a redhead?”
I start laughing. “No way!”
“Is that who you’re trying to emulate?” He starts mixing things and there’s a putrid smell.
I shrug. “I always liked Vampira. But there was never any way I was going to have a waist like that.”
Gabriel starts sectioning off my hair. “What about Rocky Horror?”
I shiver as he starts applying the cold bleach solution. Then he wraps each segment of hair in foil. “My friends and I snuck into a theatre on time to watch it back in high school. I never wanted it to end, it was so much fun.”
“I can be your Rocky and your Frankenfurter,” Gabriel teases.
Pidge stands from his seat and walks over. “You know what you’re doing, right? You’re not going to fry her hair off?”
“Trust me, her hair will be ever softer than before.” Gabriel turns and winks to Pidge. “I promise, you’re going to like how this turns out.”
Once he has the bleach in, he wraps my head in a plastic bag and says we have to wait for a while. My head is hot, and the smell isn’t as horrible as it was before. Pidge has left to go get me something to eat, and Amon has gone to his room to read. This is my first time truly alone with Gabriel. I’ve always been able to talk to him, but only with the others around. Now, I don’t know what to say or do.
“What’s your dream?” Gabriel speaks before I can think.
I frown a bit. “Let me think.”
“It shouldn’t have to be anything you have to think about.” Gabriel scoots his chair closer to me. “It should be something in your gut. Something you even thought of as a child.” He takes hold of my hands in both of his. “Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten.”
I smile shyly. “Well, I used to always want to have a clothes store. It was what I always played with my dolls. Then, in high school, I wanted a specialty store for the fashion trends me and my friends like.”
“All black, right,” he teases.
I grin. “Then in college...” I drift off. I always sort of floated, going off of the ideas and whims of the people closest to me. I started aiming towards medical school because of Raul, but I dropped out when I feared I couldn’t cut it.
Gabriel tilts his head to the side. “What about college?”
“I gave up.” I shake my head and avoid his pretty face. “That’s all.”
“You can still have dreams.” He lifts my chin. “Even if it’s becoming the lover of four horny vampires.”
I break into laughter. “You think so?”
“I would personally enjoy it if you did.” He brushes his thumb against my lips. “We could use a woman’s touch around here.”
My heart hammers. “When you say four, do you include yourself?”
Gabriel licks my lips and places himself in my lap. This is new, but not unwelcome. “I’ve been enjoying seeing you here with my boys, but now, I want to try and see what the fuss is about.” He kisses me deeply, and I wrap my hands around his waist.
“What about my hair?” I sigh as we part.
“Just getting you to open up a bit.” He slips off my lap and takes off the plastic bag. “Hopefully that got you nice and steamy too.”
I cup my hand around my mouth. Wow, he’s good.
He gets my hair washed and rinsed out and starts to dry it. I was already hot, but with the hair dryer I’m starting to sweat a little.
“You… you mentioned once that you and Raul had...” I feel a bit embarrassed asking.
“Fooled around. Same for Pidge. I was the one who invited them here in the first place. Amon had the space, and he’s always been too shy to ask, so I did.” He runs his fingers through my hair to gauge the dryness. “So you and I have a lot in common.”
I touch my hair, unused to the blonde. It gives me quite a shock. “How did you meet?”
“Vlada took me in. She’s the mother I never had. I met Raul through her, and the rest is history.” He tosses away the trash from bleaching my hair and takes out another bowl to mix another concoction.
“So you’re a Polidori too?”
He scoffs. “Such a stuffy name! I’ve been telling her to change it. Especially now that she’s setting up the clinic.” He takes my chin in his hand, turning it this way and that to study it and, I assume, to make his final judgement.
“Raul was mentioning that. Something about… if it’s obvious, people feel safer.”
“Exactly,” Gabriel turns to begin mixing. “I’ve been telling her to name herself Leeche, but with an ‘E’ at the end to make it fancy.”
“Dr. Leeche,” I say it out loud to gauge the feel. “Dr. Leeche’s Vampire Clinic.”
“I would choose a much more appropriate name than Vampire Clinic, but in short, how much nicer is that than Polidori?” He puts the dye in my hair, then smashes it all under a shower cap.
I stand up to stretch my legs, reaching my arms out far behind me and arching my back to make it pop.
“Pidge should return soon with your food.” Gabriel tosses the dirty dishes into the sink. “By then, you’ll be able to wash your hair and see what magic I’ve worked.”
“I’m really excited. I’ve always just kept it black for so long.”
Gabriel stands behind me and wraps his arms around me. “You’re going to look like a whole new woman. This color I’ve given you is going to show what you’ve kept hidden.”
I bite my lip as I feel his body pressed against mine. “You feel rather excited about that, Gabriel.”
“I’m always excited.” His hands slip under my shirt. “If you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready.” His hands slip over my skin, cupping my breasts before moving down my sides.
“Careful,” I sigh.
“I’m not familiar with the word.” Gabriel moves around me, sitting on the table like he’s the meal. He lifts up his shirt, showing off his smooth body and the way the panties have lifted entirely from him.
“I’m supposed to wait for Pidge before I eat,” I chuckle.
Gabriel reaches down inside the panties and strokes himself. “He won’t mind if you have a snack.”
“You’re terrible.” I lean in to kiss him when the door opens and shuts. “Pidge?”
“You guessed it.” Pidge comes in with the food for me. He looks at Gabriel and rolls his eyes. “Are you being a slut again?”
Gabriel lies back on the table and lifts his hips into the air. “I never stop.”
Pidge shoves him off the table. “Has he done anything to you?”
“Oh, lots of things.” I give Pidge a kiss. “Thank you for my dinner.”
Gabriel leaps up. “You know, I am always polite to my dinner guests. I would never do anything untowards to her. But I would let her do all the untoward things to me.”
Pidge rolls his eyes. “So what did you do to her?”
“Not to worry. If anything, you’ll fall even more in love with her when I am done manhandling her,” He playfully teases.
I sit down to eat. “He’s been very nice, Pidge. No worries.”
After a while, Gabriel stands and takes me to the bathroom so I can wash my hair and he can style it for me. “I can shower by myself,” I tell him.
“And where’s the fun in that?” Gabriel watches as I undress. “What if you drown?”
I pull back the shower curtain and step inside. “Then you’d best come in and play lifeguard.” As I place my head under the water to rinse it, Gabriel’s fingers comb through my hair to help the process. He puts shampoo in my hair, massaging my scalp. With every breath he comes closer, and once my hair is rinsed, I have him pinned to the wall. I press back into him, rubbing my body against his. I turn around, kissing him and grinding our bodies together.
“You’re adaptable. I like that,” he laughs.
I turn off the shower and push the wet hair from my face. “I’m pretty good at knowing what a body wants.” I reach down and grab his dick. “Raul likes me to play the pillow princess, but Pidge likes to be in control.” I stroke his cock slowly. “Amon likes it slow and tender. And you...” I laugh. “You like everything.”
Gabriel moans. “God, you’re hot.”
I move him down onto the floor, wasting no time. I take him inside me and then move towards my own end. I ride him, going hard at first. I cup my hand over his mouth, letting him bite and feed off my fingertips. His hips arch up, moving to meet my deep thrusts. Gabriel throws me down, mounting me and driving himself inside. He holds my legs back, bending me like a pretzel, slapping himself against my rear as he goes as deep as he possibly can. It feels like we could go all night, but I know we have to make this liaison quick.
I coax him down to me and let him bite my throat. As soon as the blood begins to flow, neither one of us can hold on. I lose my grip and enjoy the crash.
After the hurricane comes the calm. Gabriel brushes and styles my hair, showing me a woman in the mirror I barely recognize. The red hair is bright, but it shows off features in my face I never knew I had. The black was a curtain, hiding things about me. The red hair is the sun, illuminating and casting. Gabriel grins with pride. “Well, what do you think?”
I run my fingers through the fiery red. It does feel soft, softer than it did with the black in it. I break into a smile and I turn to wrap Gabriel up in a hug. “I love it! It looks amazing!”
“I thought you’d like it.” He drags me out to where Pidge and Amon are waiting to see the end result. My face burns as they look at me, taking me in and formulating their thoughts.
I step forward and pose. “So, what do you all think about it?” I ask.
Amon touches my hair, running his fingers through it. Pidge does the same, both of them silent for a moment. Amon breaks into a big smile. “This suits you so well. It really brings out your eyes, your skin.” His fingers slip down the back of my neck. “Gabriel did well.”
“I know!” he announces happily.
Pidge buries his face in my hair. “Still smells funny, but it looks amazing. I didn’t think you could get any better.”
I feel so proud of myself. I’ve not felt so good about my appearance in a long time. “Maybe I’ll keep it,” I giggle.
I spend time with Gabriel in his room, listening to records and going through his closet. “You certainly have a varied closet.” I take out a hot pink latex tube dress.
“I never know how I feel day to day.” He’s laying on the bed, enjoying watching me. “Somedays I prefer more masculine clothes, other days I like more feminine attire. It just all depends.”
I go over to his bed and sit down beside him. “You have the face for it.” I lean down to kiss him. “You’re so pretty, you could wear anything.”
“I prefer to wear nothing.” He pulls me onto the bed, smirking and wiggling his eyebrows. “I prefer to wear nothing with somebody, if you get my drift.”
I shake my head. “Haven’t you had enough for today?”
“Why do you think I live here?” He kisses me as he tugs down my underwear. “Some nights I feel like Pidge, some nights I feel like Raul.”
“What about Amon?” I moan.
“Amon’s shy. But he likes to watch me sometimes.” He looks between my bare thighs and smiles. “Ah, hello there, my new best friend.”
“Don’t be weird.” I chuckle.
There’s a knock at the door and Gabriel turns. “Come in.”
Amon steps in, closing the door behind him. “I heard you were still awake. Do you mind if I join you?”
“Perfect timing, big boy,” Gabriel grins.
I prop myself up as Amon approaches. “Is something wrong?” I ask.
“No. I just wanted to see you. Were you two busy?”
I tug my panties back up. “He was trying to be.”
Amon’s smile is small. He tucks his hair out of his face and I see those scars again. I reach for him, peppering small kisses here and there. “You have so many scars,” I whisper.
“I know,” Amon lets his hair fall back down. “Do they bother you?”
“No. Not in that way. But they’re all over you. What happened?”
Amon places a soft kiss on my lips. “It was a long time ago. Back when vampire blood was considered a fountain of youth.” He looks so sad, like he could be near tears.
“Humans did it?” I whisper in horror.
Amon closes his eyes. “I try not to think about it.”
“I’m sorry. You don’t have to say anymore.” I hug him close and Gabriel joins in.
“What’s going on in here?” Pidge walks in, sitting down in Gabriel’s lap. “You’re not leaving me out, are you?”
Gabriel kisses Pidge’s neck. “We would never. All a happy accident.”
I stay up late so I can show Raul my hair when he gets home, but when he does, he has a heavy aura around him. He looks exhausted and lost, barely lifting his head as he closes the door. My stomach sinks at the sight of him. It looks like something horrible has happened. “Raul?” I keep my voice quiet to not alert the others.
“Just a minute, Lucy.” His tone is faint and quiet. “We got some bad news at the clinic. Vlada was telling me that...” He looks up and sees me. His eyes go wide while his jaw drops. “What’s this?”
“Gabriel did my hair. But what’s going on?” I step towards him.
He runs his fingers through my hair, then dips down to breathe in the scent. “She can’t get the funding she needs. None of us can even come close to getting the loans we need.” He holds me tight. “We’re going to have to close down.”
“No!” I cry. “You’ve all been working so hard! And it’s all been working too, I don’t...” I hold him fast. “This isn’t fair.”
“They said it was unsafe to give us the money considering we are...” He breaks off and slouches more. “I don’t know what to do.”
I take Raul to his room and lie down with him. I hold him in my arms, brushing my fingers through his hair. “It’s like we take a step forward, but then we’re forced two steps back,” Raul whispers. “We can’t catch a break.”
Gabriel asked me what my dream was, and I didn’t know how to answer him. But now, in the midst of this troubling news, I feel like I have one. “What if I get the money?”
Raul sits up and stares at me. “What?”
I shrug. “I don’t know exactly what I would do or say. But, maybe, if I’m the one who applies for a loan, you can get your money.”
“You shouldn’t have to do that,” Raul says.
“I know firsthand the miracles that you and Vlada and Behr can do. I’ve never felt such relief in all my life.” I grab his arms with both hands. “I want to help. I want this to become a reality. I want everyone who suffers the same way I do to find the same comfort and release.”
Raul’s eyes soften and he leans down to kiss me. “I don’t know what to say.”
“Just say yes. Let me help you.”
April 1987
Dr. Leeche’s Specialist Clinic opened its doors to the public about a month ago. I managed to get a loan, as well as a huge donation from Gabriel. I never asked where he got the money, but he mentioned something about a ‘benefactor’ and I just agreed that was enough information.
I’ve been working behind the scenes to help get the clinic up and running. I got the loan to open the place, and I even helped in getting it certified. In the meantime, I’m also taking classes to get a business degree. I want to be able to open more clinics like this all over the world if possible.
I move in with Raul, Amon, Pidge and Gabriel to save money. I also help Vlada find more doctors to train for the clinic. I’ve never been so busy in my life, but I’ve never felt more fulfilled in a job before.
I’m getting ready to go to class one morning when I look at myself in the mirror. A year ago, I would never have recognized myself. I smile proudly and let out a sigh of relief. As I walk out of the bathroom, I see Gabriel with his head over the trash can, chopping off his ponytail. “What the hell are you doing?”
Gabriel holds up his ponytail, his hair now in a bob. “Always changing. Also, Pidge dared me.”
I roll my eyes. “Oh, come on!” I see Pidge snicker from the hallway. “What are you trying to do?”
“I do it every six months or so.” Pidge beams up at me.
I give him a soft kiss and he hands me my bag. “You know better. He never says no.”
“That’s what’s fun.”
I put on my shoes at the door. “Are we all still on for tonight?”
“Should be,” Gabriel calls.
I head to class. After that, I go to the clinic to interview a new doctor, a vampire who goes by Heskel. But in the evening, my four boys and I have a date on the roof. It’s cool at night now, but not too cold, and it’s been a while since all of us could get together. I’ve been promised a wonderful evening, and I’m very much looking forward to it. Amon brings up pillows and blankets, which we used to build a nest. The fire is going, casting a light that matches my hair. I am kissed and touched from all angles, pampered by the men I’ve come to love most.
It’s not exactly the dream I had as a child. But it’s mine, and I couldn’t be happier.
