Gargoyle Boyfriend: Amadou 3 (special preview)
Added 2020-09-18 21:00:59 +0000 UTCFor the past few weeks, you had been in hiding. Ever since crossing paths with the villain known as Rabid you’d been placed on his shit list. For the time being, you were fine. You were still doing what you loved, journalism. You worked in secret though, and only at night since that was when Amadou was awake.
Ever since Amadou awoke, as well as your memories of the past, you have both been inseparable. Once, long ago, you had been a princess who fell in love with Amadou, a knight in your mother’s palace. But when your evil father returned from his supposed death, he cursed the entire castle, the gargoyles, and you. Now that your memories had awoken, Amadou suspected that soon so would the other gargoyles, your queen mother, and the evil king who began the curse.
You’ve been focused on your investigative work, and even still you’re working on bringing to light some of Solomon Savage’s corrupt dealings. Not only that, you’re almost certain hat Rabid and Solomon are one in the same. In the past you feel it had gotten your father into a lot of trouble, and now, it’s gotten you into your own boiling pot. You’re on the run and in hiding, but at the same time you sort of like this new role in life. You feel like one of the noir detectives on the TV shows you and your father watched together.
The house you have been squatting in was basically abandoned, but aside from a few leak sin the roof, it was proving to be better than the dingy apartment you lived in before. You’ve had to leave most of your old life behind, but bit by bit Amadou has helped to get some of your old things and bring it back.
Amadou was hesitant to go too far from the city. All his friends were still on the roof of your old building. He felt that soon they would begin to awaken, and he wanted to be close by so they could find him.
“Maybe we should just go back to the city,” you say one day. “Surely Solomon and Rabid have much bigger things on their plate than me.”
“Pettier men than they have done worse to people who have done nothing to them,” Amadou remarks cooly. “You just want to go back into the city to stir up more trouble, don’t you?”
You smile coyly at him. “What makes you think I want any more trouble than I already do?” You approach him and place your hands upon his broad chest.
“Because I know you.” He kisses your forehead then takes hold of your hand. “You enjoy your work, and there are many who wouldn’t.”
“But what about the others?” You ask. You move your hand to his face, cupping the sharp contours of his jaw. “Your friends and family, they’re still on the roof and maybe don’t know where to go.”
Amadou lowers his head so it rests in your palm. “I don’t want to risk you getting hurt.”
“Please, look at me.” You step back and pose. “Reincarnated after a thousand years and still standing.”
Amadou chuckles and cracks a smile. “I don’t want to risk losing you again. Who knows if you’d come back a second time.”
You place both hands on his face. “I will always come back. I’m far too stubborn to let anything keep me down for long.”
His smile is bright, and he places his hands around your wrists. “You are right, my princess.” He kisses the very tip of your nose. “I should already know that lesson by now.”
You tug his face to bring him close again, kissing him deeply. “It’s okay. I forgive you,” You tease. You loop my arms around his neck. “Besides, tonight feels important, doesn’t it?”
Amadou’s big hands wrap around your waist. “Actually, that is because it is.”
Your eyes widen as you tilt your chin up. “Really?”
He nods, slowly moving you backwards. “If I am correct, then tonight is the anniversary of our first romantic encounter.”
You smirk, running your fingers through his hair and down his neck. “Look at me, already forgetting anniversaries.”
“Well, it was a long time ago. I forgive you,” he teases back. He sets you on the countertop and stands before you. “It was a rather stormy night.”
