[Art Gift] Maxine's Second Spacewalk

Phew, this whole drawing was an adventure that it took me longer than it should be, but finally, we got here!

And this time we got another art gift, particularly for Spottedoopla on DA, mainly because I saw this particular OC of him, Maxine Taylor, tempting to draw, and I have been in a mood to do another EMU drawing, and here's you go! And to add a company, I also have her translating to the windows of the ISS Cupola module, where his other OC, Charline Parker, peeks through the module's window and had a photo session with Maxine. There's actually a backstory for this, which is set after Spottedoopla's own take on Maxine which you can check right here, and this one took place after the event of that pic. There's also a single alternative version that I decided to publish for free, which you can check on the attachments, but there are other alternative versions available on Patreon for Parfait tier patrons, so you might want to pledge to that tier if you're interested!

A few days earlier, two astronauts out of a 6-person crew aboard the Space Shuttle "Thunderbird", one being a 44-year-old NASA scientist and Sprucewood University professor Charline Parker and the other being one of her students, 19-year-old Maxine Taylor, performed a 6-hour spacewalk on Thunderbird's cargo bay, with Charline being assigned as lead spacewalker or EV1 and Maxine as EV2. Although the two had trained themselves for EVA back on earth at the Neutral Buoyancy Lab, this time, Charline decided to take it to an extra mile by training and testing the EVA skills of Maxine and her other colleagues launching with her, right on the vacuum of space. All while they were docked to the International Space Station and performing additional missions as a part of the space station's routine maintenance.

During that spacewalk, Maxine performed very well and was able to gather any inputs Charlene gave to her during the spacewalk, taking it as a note for her future spacewalks, and the spacewalk was completed successfully with both managed to install additional Lithium-Ion batteries for the International Space Station, loaded straight up from Thunderbird's cargo bay and to the ISS's power systems. The process though was half done, so with how Maxine managed to perform her first spacewalk smoothly, she's assigned for another one. This time, she is now assigned as the EV1 and now wearing her EMU Spacesuit bearing red stripes. Accompanying her as the EV2 is a 19-year-old Justin Barnes, her colleague back on her campus and launched with her aboard the Thunderbird. Before the main mission started, Maxine took an opportunity to translate to ISS's Cupola module, where Charline is, and make a photo session together.

Nothing much to talk about the process, especially for the poses where for Maxine I used my self-made EMU template as usual, and Charlene was the quickest one thanks to her only wearing NASA's issued polo shirts but it's been a while since I did normal clothing poses so that was one of the most involved parts throughout the process (even though I ended up cropping her legs at the end XD) But perhaps the most time-consuming part of this pic is the ISS cupola itself, I tried to find a good shape for it at first, which was initially going to be a cone with its tip cut off and with six curved windows, but then found out that the actual side windows for the ISS cupola weren't actually curved so I used six trapezoids instead, which I found out to be easier. Didn't bother to put too much detail on it, in fact when I did the module I drew all seven of the module's window shields except the middle one behind the view, but the only ones that are visible ended up being the top circular window and the middle front one 😅 I did shade it though still so it looks nice as the rest of the pic 😁.
