She clicks her tongue and ran her black tongue over her teeth. “Disgusting,” she grouses. She moves to the side, watching me with a cold gaze until I wipe my mouth and look back at her.
“You done?” She sneers.
I wheeze and nod, flopping back onto my ass.
She takes in a deep breath as her eyes glare viciously. “To think, this is the soul that called out to me.” Her lip curls over her sharp teeth. “What a waste.”
I hiccup then wobbly try to stand on my own two feet. “Well who the hell are you then” I slur my words pretty heavily.
Her eyes roll. “Come closer.” She curls her fingers inward and I lurch towards her. The sudden jerk that stops me snaps some sense into me. Her fingers then flicker around my mouth and a vapor starts to pull from my body. There is a burning in my veins as well as a pulling sensation. It feels as though she has found a loose thread in my soul and it pulling upon it.
The vapor’s flow from my mouth and she flings it away, dispersing it into the air. As I topple to the ground I no longer feel drunk. I feel as clear headed as when I wake in the morning. I look up at her, taking a deep breath as the burning in my limbs fades.
“Better?” She looks me over.
I rub my hands up and down my body. “What did you do to me?”
“I made it so I could stand you.” She crosses her arms against her chest. “You want me to be able to tolerate you right now.”
I swallow down the lump in my throat as I look at her. She’s tall and beautiful, the sort of woman who was more a warning than a blessing. All of her was blue with hair that was long and white, running down her shoulders and onto her back. There was a sharpness to her that cut like a knife, but it was not a palpable in the normal sense.
She sniff the air then approaches me. Her long fingers capture my chin and I can tell right away she is stronger than any foe I’ve faced. She turns my head this way and that with a smug smile upon her pursed lips.
“What a sweet face you have,” she giggles. “For one so afflicted with hatred and power, I dare say your face is quite angelic.” her eyes then glide down my body. “What about the rest of you?”
I fight away from her, knocking her hand down and stepping away. She giggles, following after me. “Who are you?” I spit again.
She slips closer towards me again, moving as if there is no hinderance to her. “What do you want me to be?”
I bite on the inside of my cheek as I look at her. “That isn’t what I asked of you. Tell me your name, lady.”
She sighs as she walks circles around me. “Fierna,” she whispers.
“Fierna.” My brow pinches at this name as it sounds very familiar to me. In fact, I have seen it written in the glyphs of my father’s blade.
Her fingers graze the back of my neck and I turn to find her not there. “I have come to answer the call you cried out.” I whip around again to see her standing before me. “For it is a powerful cry.”
I look her up and down, still unsure of what to make of her. “What cry?”
She throws her head back and laughs. “What cry?” He asks. She then smirks at me. “Beautiful and stupid, I simply love that in a man.”
I shake my head. “You mean...against my father?” I then ask as I try to piece everything together.
“Against the world. If it was merely a wish to see your father die, I would not have deemed your worthy.” The smile that spreads across her lips feels like a threat. “I came because your vision and your desire is so strong, it calls to me like the song of a siren screaming against the storm.” She moans and clutches her hands to her chest. “There is a bloodlust inside you, young Lavette.”
I nod slowly as I look at her. “There is.”
Fierna tilts her head and smirks at me. “What would you give to have it quenched.”
I smirk then chuckle. “I don’t want it quenched,” I whisper. “It is something much deeper than that. I want to feel this drive forever, I want to keep it alive as long as possible. I want my power to be endless.”
Fierna grins widely and tilts her head back as she looks down upon me. “I know all too well what you desire, but it is so satisfying to hear it.” She captures my chin again. “What is your ultimatum in this world?”
“Power,” I whisper. “I want to be a god king of my time. I want to throw the world into chaos and hold it in the palm of my hand.”
“Wonderful,” she breathes in deep and lets out a sensuous groan. “What would you do to make this come true?”
“Anything,” I snarl.
A soft giggles escapes her full lips and she nods. “Very well then, I’ll give you exactly the power you want, the chaos you desire. All I ask for is your first born.”
