Children of the Night: A Timeline

1838- Authaire first starts traveling

1849- Authaire joins the original Mr. Faire in his carnival

1855- Mr. Faire meets Muna & Fye

1869- Bron is found

1870- Mr. Faire passes on his name and carnival to Authaire to retire.

1875- The original Mr. Faire gets sick and Authaire takes a year off to care for him.

1878- Coraline is the first Doll in the carnival

1880- Haytham joins the carnival as doctor

1885- Ambrosious Trickenstien and his Traveling Show of Infamy join the Nightlight

1886- Scarebrooke is established. Bram and Coraline wed.

1887- Gracie and Haytham wed

1895- The Carnival first travels through the Underneathe

1900- Mr. Faire officially renames the carnival The Children of the Night

1915- Lancelot comes to the carnival.

1917- Lancelot starts taking in and adopting children (this includes Oriharu and Arty)

1920- Emberlie joins the carnival and establishes the Children’s Corner

1930- The Enchanted Carousel is set up in the carnival, including Estienne

1935- The Changelings start coming to the carnival

1946- Mr. Faire rebuilds the big top and adds two new tents

1950- Barnaby joins the circus

1955- Barnaby and Edeline marry

1959- Edeline constructs the first ferris wheel

1960-Edeline designs what will eventually become the future layout of the carnival

1962- Edeline creates the house of mirrors, bumper car ride, and reconstructs the cafeteria

1968- Alamanso the clown starts the clown troupe and school

1970- Edeline and Barnaby have their first child.

1975- Mr. Faire, Bram, and Coraline establish a school in Scarebrooke

1979-(summer) The carnival has to go into hiding. Mr. Faire is attacked and Haytham takes him to Hearthway Hollow.

1979- (fall) Mr. Faire meets Mrs. Locklear for the first time.

1983- (spring) The Carnival comes out of hiding and returns to travel.

1983- (summer) Edeline repairs the ferris wheel

1983- (fall) Scarebrooke begins rebuilding and expanding

1984- Seraphimo joins the carnival with Joseph who joins as maintenance. 

1985- Muna, Bronn, and Fye rebuild the cabaret

1986- Oshun is rescued by Joseph.

1987- (summer)Oshun marries Arty

1987- (winter) Bram and Coraline build Batian

1988- Joseph rebuilds the carousel to account for all the new rides

1988- Hector joins the carnival for a short time. Marlene marries Seraphimo.

1989- (spring)The carnival sees a big baby boom(including Valentine)

1989- (fall) Bron’s memory returns

1990- (winter) Dimitri is born and Oriharu marries Nick

1990- (spring) Joseph leaves the carnival to start a family

1995- Avo and the changelings create their own troupe

1996- (fall) Oshun and Arty takes in Bethune and Baird, as well as their mother who is heavily pregnant.

1996- (winter) Ballura is born. Mother dies.

1997- Arty and Oshun formally adopt Ballura, Baird, and Bethune

2000- (winter)Mr. Faire retires the carnival for a year long vacation and buys a home in Hearthway Hollow

2000- (spring) heavy reconstruction on the carnival begins

2001- Part of the carnival travels again.

2003- Ruby begins hearing the carnival calling to her

2005- the entire carnival is fully rebuilt, repaired, and starts traveling complete again

2006- Edeline and Barnaby pass away

2007- Bethune and Baird leave the carnival to find Pan and seek revenge for their mother.

2008- (spring) Bethune and Baird disappear

2008- 18 year olds Adam, Rowan, and Canvas run away from Hearthway Hollow and join the carnival for the rest of the year

2009- Nico the moth leaves the carnival to start his own club and settle down.

2010- Estienne marries Dita

2012- Miksa and Bastian marry

2015- Avo marries Junes

2016- Ruby comes to the carnival

2017- (spring)Mr. Faire has his memory returned and married Ruby

2017- (summer)Muna, Fye, and Bronn are reunited with Farrow and Barbol

2017- (summer)Muna, Fye, Bron, Dimitri, and Valentine all move to Hearthway Hollow

2017- Ruby and Mr. Faire adopt their daughter Echo, an orphaned werewolf in Hearthway Hollow

2018- Bethune and Baird return to the carnival with their lover, Cybele, and reunite with Ballura.

2019- Pan is murdered in the house of mirrors.
