There is a chill in the air, and it tastes crisp as you take in a deep breath. You stir, moving closer towards the source of warmth beside you in the bed. You snuggle against his back to escape the bitter breeze. His body shifts, and his massive arm pulls up the covers then brings them down over top of your head. You coo softly as he rolls over and brings you into his arms.
“Good morning,” Codras whispers as he kisses your temple.
“It’s not morning yet,” you grump. “It can’t be. I’m still so sleepy.”
Codra chuckles, kissing your cheek as his warm palm rubs up and down your side. “Did you not sleep well?”
“Too well.” You stretch, letting your joints pop as you press further against his body. It’s nearing winter, so he has grown fluffy and soft, the ultimate cuddle pile. “I don’t want it to end.”
Codras’ big palm strokes down your back. “It does feel like the perfect morning,” he murmurs into your ear. “The air is cold and crisp, the bed is warm and lazy.” His kisses move to your shoulder. “You smell sweet.”
You giggle quietly as his hand cups around your hip. “Did you sleep well?”
“Too well,” he echoes your words. “And here I was hoping my pretty little wife would wake me up with the smell of breakfast.”
You shove your hand against his muzzle. “Why must I always be the pretty one making breakfast?” you smirk at him.
“Because that’s my dream,” he teases, nipping your thumb. “I wake up and see you in the kitchen, you tell me to stay in bed, but all I want to do is touch you and hold you close.”
“You can do that now,” you murmur. You curl your leg around his hip and stroke down his leg with your foot. “You can hold me as much as you want.”
Codras kisses you, pushing you down into the warm bed. “I might just have to, considering it snowed all last night.”
You gasp and prop yourself up. “It did?”
Codras nods. “It is completely white outside. That’s why it’s so chilled and quiet,” he whispers into your ear. “Just perfect and-”
As he goes in for another kiss a loud wail of turmoil rings through the house. You giggle softly as Codras scoffs.
“He knows exactly when to wake up, doesn’t he?” He moves off of you, standing up as you scurry to the next room. “I’ll go get the fire started.”
You see your son, Nikitas, standing up in his crib, whimpering as you come to scoop him up. He has the same feathery soft coloring as his father, with one swirl of dark hair among the curls on top of his head. He grins brightly as you come to him, stretching out his tiny hands, then curling up in your arms. He’s fluffy too right now, and so very warm.
“Good morning,” you coo. “How is my little Nikitas?”
Nikitas burbles softly, gently drifting into a sleepy state in your arms. You change his diaper and put him in new clothes. As you carry him out to the kitchen, Codras comes in from the snow, almost all white himself.
“Is it still snowing?” you gasp. You come up to him, brushing cold snow from his face.
Codras shivers, dropping the firewood down into the box. “Unfortunately,” he growls. He kisses the top of Nikita’s head. “I might have to make an emergency trip into town just to get some supplies before it gets too bad.”
“You can’t do that!” you say as you place Nikitas in his high chair. “Cody, that’s far too dangerous!”
“I’d rather get a little cold than let Nikitas go without milk and you without bread,” Codras says with a stern voice. His eyes go soft and he cups a cold palm around your cheek. “I’m built for this sort of weather,” he says with a soft smile. “Don’t worry about me. Just worry about that chubby wonder over there.”
Nikitas is smacking his fork and spoon on the table of his high chair and blowing bubbles from his mouth.
“Let me make breakfast before you go,” you offer. “I won’t let you leave with an empty stomach.”
Codras pulls you close, giving you a cold, damp kiss. “Make an extra pot of coffee. I’ll finish it before I have to go.”
“You get your best morning after all,” you tease.
“My best morning will have to wait, actually.” Codras winks, his long lashes brushing his cheek. “I’ll go get more wood ready.” He gives you another kiss before heading back out into the snow.
You get breakfast started, making Codras a big plate of pancakes with lots of butter. You also get his coffee ready as requested. You make a small plate for Nikitas, placing it before him and cutting up small bites.
Codras comes in as Nikitas stuffs his face. “Oh, good,” he grins. “I get to see my favorite thing.” He sets the wood into the box, then settles down at the table.
“Dada,” Nikitas burbles, offering a bite of food on his tiny fork.
“For me?” Codras gasps, taking the delightful offering.
Nikitas bursts into a great big grin and bounces up and down in his seat.
“Here you go, love.” You deliver Codras his meal. “Is it getting any better out there?” You use a cloth to wipe the snow and ice from his fur, paying close attention to his sensitive ears.
“If the wind would knock it out I could tell,” he grunts. He guzzles down the rich black coffee, steam puffing from his nostrils as he does. He looks up at you, his eyes as warm and gentle as ever. “It’s fine,” he assures you, bringing you down to sit beside him. “I’ll be back tonight, don’t worry.”
You pout softly. “Easy for you to say,” you scoff.
Codras smiles. “If it makes you feel any better, I will be worried the entire time.” He slips his strong hand under your chin. “Worried about my pretty little wife, and my pretty little son. I’m doing this so I won’t worry later.”
“I know.” You duck your head down, then glance back up at him. “But I am going to worry until you come back through that door.”
Codras kisses you, pressing in close until Nikitas starts to fuss and babble at you. He giggles, pulling away to give Nikitas a look. “You’ll keep Mama in line, won’t you?” he asks.
Nikitas’ fluffy hair falls into his face, and grins widely.
“You’ll wear the hat I made you, right?” you ask Codras.
Codras frowns and glances back at you. “Do I have to?”
“Yes, you have to!” You scold him. “Your ears always get so cold, and if you don’t wear the hat in weather like this you could get really hurt.”
“It smushes my ears down,” Codras whines.
“It protects them.” You stand up from the table and refill his coffee. “Enjoy your breakfast. I’m going to pack a small bag for you, just in case.”
“But-” Codras pouts.
“Just in case!” you fuss again. “And you will wear that hat, end of discussion.” You go back to the bedroom to fill a bag with an extra sweater, coat, and gloves. You find the hat stuffed into the back of a drawer, where Codras had hoped it would remain forgotten.
When you come back out, Codras has Nikitas in his lap. Nikitas is giggling and cuddling up to his father, getting fed big buttery bites from his plate. His grin is so big, so happy that your gut churns with worry. If Codras isn’t careful, and gods forbid, something happened, what would become of that perfect smile?
Codras looks up at you and his smile softens at the edges. “What?”
You step over to him, kissing the top of his head. “Nothing.” You brush his hair from his eyes. “Just saying a tiny prayer is all.”
“Hey,” Codras whispers. “I have a lot to come back to, and it’s just a little snow.”
“Just a little snow,” you scoff. “Snow can become a lot of things.” You take the hat, tucking it on around his horns and making sure it fits around his ears. “Keep this hat on.”
Codras scowls as Nikitas giggles loudly, clapping his small hands together. “My son is laughing at me. I hope you’re happy.”
“For the time being,” you sigh.
When Codras leaves, the winds are still whipping through the sky outside. You watch him through the window, your heart aching as you try to keep all the worst possible scenarios from your head. You try to keep yourself busy all day. You start by cleaning every inch of the small house, stopping to rest when you put Nikitas down for a nap. Even then, you work by preparing candles, and some thick stew with some of the leftovers in the pantry that need to be used. You make a massive batch of biscuits, knowing that when Codras comes home he would love to eat them smeared with honey and butter.
Outside the skies have turned dark, and the winds are howling like a wild cat. You’ve closed all the shutters and covered them with skins in hopes of keeping the chill at bay. You peek out from time to time, hoping to see sunshine, or snow melting. Instead you see mounds of it, growing and growing.
“Mama,” Nikitas whimpers.
You glance over at him and see him frowning down at his dinner. “I know,” you coo. You pet the top of his head. “You like when Dada is here, don’t you?”
“Dada,” Nikitas whines slowly. “Dada.” He looks up at you with an expression so powerful it rocks you to your core.
“He’ll come home soon,” you tell him. You smoosh his chubby face between your palms. “Don’t give me that sad little look. I would have kept him home too.”
Nikita’s pout only deepens. “Dada.” His fluffy ears flatten down over the top of his head.
You sigh heavily, stroking his soft fur as he mashes his stew around before taking a bite. “I know, baby.” You kiss the top of his head. “I know.”
You tuck Nikitas into bed later that evening. You allowed him to stay up longer in hopes that Codras would come through the door any second. But Nikita started to doze off, so you put him to bed.
You return to the kitchen, coffee in hand as you wait. It grows later into the night, and your stomach is in knots with worry. He should have been back long ago. What could have happened to him that’s keeping him so long?
You pace around the kitchen, then go to the window to peer outside. As you do, you see a light in the distance. It grows closer, and once it is beyond the gate you throw on a shawl and rush outside.
“Go back inside!” Codras huffs. “What are you? Crazy?”
You grab him once he’s close, pulling him inside, where he sets down his heavy load. He pulls off the hat and snow falls in frozen clumps from his face.
“I was so worried!” You wrap your arms around him, holding him fast.
“Oh wow, you’re so warm!” Codras moans as he nuzzles into the curve of your neck. “I’m sorry,” he sighs. “It took longer than I expected. As I was heading home I found a family that had been traveling, who were trapped. I got them out and somewhere safe.” He kisses you as he takes his coat off. “I just kept thinking about you and Nikitas. Where is he?”
“Asleep,” you murmur. “So if you can, be quiet.” You kiss him again, running your fingers through his fur to knock the snow away. “You want some coffee to warm up?”
“No,” he snarls. “I want you.”
You gasp as he picks you off the ground and carries you to the bedroom. As he closes the door, he presses your back against it. He growls in your ear, pushing himself between your legs. Holding you pinned, he pushes your nightgown up around you waist. His cold fingers run along your slit and you whimper.
“I need you,” he moans. “Oh gods, do I need you.”
Yu moan softly as his tongue brushes along your neck. “Cody,” you whisper. “I’m just happy you’re safe.” You bite your cheek to keep your voice down as his fingers open you. He rubs against your clit, making slow circles around it.
“So warm,” he moans into your ear.
You pull your nightgown up over your head and he presses his face between your breasts. He’s cold all over, and yet the room feels overwhelmingly hot. Codras pulls you away from the door, laying you down in bed, where he pins your hands above your head. He kisses you hungrily as he opens your thighs again. Kicking away his clothes, his soft, chilled body presses against yours.
“Cody,” you whisper to him as you hold his face between your palms.
Cody kisses you and gazes into your eyes. “It’s okay, right?” he moans. “It’s okay?”
You kiss him again, moving your hand down between you. You take hold of his cock, pumping it slowly in your palm. Codras moans out loud, his hips bucking slightly. Already he’s starting to ooze precum, so you guide him into place.
“I want you to get nice and warm, ok?” you moan.
Codras nods, slowly inching himself inside you. You bite your lip, trying to keep yourself quiet, but nothing ever feels so good as when Codras first pushes inside you. He’s so big, each time feels like the first.
“You feel so warm,” Codras moans.
You cup your hand around his mouth. “Quiet,” you pant.
Codras kisses your palm and nibbles on each fingertip. He starts to move slow, pushing himself in deep then pulling out. He watches between your thighs, his eyes focused for a moment as he slips back in. He gazes back at you, watching your lashes flutter as you succumb.
“I wanted to be wrapped up tight in your arms,” Codras moans into your ear. He strokes his hands down your body. “Your soft skin, your breathing.” He grabs your thigh and rubs your clit with his thumb. “And this,” he groans. “I should have made love to you this morning. I kept thinking that,” he grunts. “In case-”
You stop him again. “You’re home,” you whimper. “We’re doing it now.” You toss your head as you moan. “Oh, gods-” you pant. “Don’t think like that. Just love me. Just fill me with it.” You grab hold of his strong shoulders. “Cody, I want you to cum for me.”
Cody’s pink tongue sticks out between his teeth. He nods and grabs your legs, then places them over his shoulders. He snarls, bucking harder and driving himself deep inside you. He places his fingers on your tongue to help keep you quiet.
The flared head of his cock keeps hitting the pleasurable spot inside you. Your toes begin to curl and you suck on his fingers. The first surge happens when he cries out, bucking hard and sitting up so your legs are pressed against his chest. His warm eyes have become raging fires. His tongue hangs out slightly as he continues to drive into you. Another surge courses through your body, and you grab hold of the sheets.
Codras grunts and his whole body trembles. “I’m going to cum. I’m going to cum,” he whimpers.
“Please, hurry,” you cry out. “Cody, I-” Your back arches off the mattress as your eyes roll back in your head. You can feel him pump his heat inside of you, making you spill over and tremble. Codras seethes and snarls as he tries to keep from shouting out in passion. He throbs inside you, filling you with every drop before he flops onto the bed.
“Mmm,” you sigh dreamily.
Codras rolls over, kissing your breasts and nuzzling your belly. He dips between your legs, his thick tongue lapping you up. You gasp, and he cups his hand around your mouth. He cleans his mess from you, teasing your sensitive folds, then suckling your clit until your legs go stiff again. You grab hold of his wrist, keeping his hand firmly planted over your mouth.
He rises with a smug grin on his face while you turn into liquid. “If we’re lucky, I can do it again in a moment.”
“Does the cold turn you wild?” you purr as you pull him back down.
Codras takes the blankets and tugs them around you. “I just want to be warm,” he whispers. “Nowhere is warmer than between your legs and inside your lips.” He rubs his palm up and down your body.
“I got pregnant with Nikitas during the last storm,” you sigh. “If you want to stay warm we may end up with another one.”
Codras’ ears flick and his eyes start to shine. “Was it, really?” he gasps in awe. “I wouldn’t mind another,” he chuckles. “I love Nikitas so much.”
“Well,” you murmur gently. “I do too.” You smile up at Codras, his look so innocent and happy. “Another would be okay, I think.”
“I love you,” Codras whispers. “You make me so happy. If you gave me another baby I think I might burst with it.”
You kiss him, rolling him onto his back. “I put Nikitas to bed late,” you purr. “So he’ll hopefully wake even later. We need to take advantage.”
Codras grabs holds of your hips as he gazes up lovingly at you. “You’re my goddess. You know that, right?”
You beam down at him. “You’re my angel,” you whisper. “I will never love anyone more.”
Codras sits up and kisses you. “My heart is yours.”
