Not sure if, because it looks a bit like Mushoku Tensei, giving it a bit more leeway than usual as that show starts off a bit slow as well but it seems like they're slowly fleshing things out deliberately and doing a decent job of introducing characters. Just seems intentional is all. Like the sword fights are quick but show how technically proficient he is (rather than flashy). May all be for nothing, which would be super disappointing. But, if it does pop off it's built on a pretty sturdy foundation. Not sure how many episodes though...

(first time watching myself) having older guy as mc is pretty nice break from all kids mc we usually get.. and the fighting is very different too.. not sure if i like it though :D like most of swordfights ended way too quick to me, some even after 1 or 2 strikes.. pacing is super slow too.. which is not a bad thing but with smaller animes that arent long usually end before something even happen and that just not good in my opinion (like if anime has 3 seasons you can expect one season just to slowly build the world etc) we will see, hopefuly we get somewhere :D
