"Unbeknownst to them, as they walked away, two more figures shimmered into existence beside the statue: a [Templar], proud and strong, and a [Light Mage], radiating power and wisdom." Even if we assume that it takes longer to load dose with mana, it still appears to be multiple magnitudes longer. So, it is contrived/tampered with. Especially the increase in brightness should stand out.
