Last week, Alexandra dropped the axe on her mother (figuratively speaking), only to discover that the wound it left was real and deep. In unrelated archaeology news, I was delighted to learn that there's a town in Germany where the buildings — which are built from the local stone — are riddled with tiny diamonds. Not only that, but in that town archaeologists have discovered an immaculately-preserved 3000-year old sword which, if nothing else, is cool to look at. Attn: Chris Schweizer. Next week: more glittering chandeliers! Will Alexandra find an opportunity to apologize to her mother?
Until then,
I remain,
