Chapter Two Inks: The Looparound

Whey hey, we got all the way to the end of Chapter Two with inks, now I've looped around to finish the first dozen or so. For new Patrons (hello, new Patrons!), I like to ink the first handful of pages last, because my drawing and inking skills are better after, oh, eighty pages of practice. By saving the first for last, ideally those pages are drawn more nicely, and thus make a better first impression.

19th Century Travellers in Europe: More Resources Than You Can Shake A Walking Stick At

I came across this serendipitous MetaFilter post not long ago: Travelers in Europe, 1807-1826: de Staël, Shelley, Starke, & Jameson. If you want to read personal travel accounts from ladies of the time, there's a tonne of resources in here. Every link in the post sends you to another rich vein of the internet.

Personal highlights include links to a bunch of Archive.org and Project Gutenberg free downloadable ebook versions of these authors' accounts, and this marvellous interactive "story map" where someone's mapped out travel letters from Lady Mary Wortley Montagu (a portrait of whom inspired DD's outfit in DD3), complete with location illustrations from the time.

You could get lost in those links for ages, and that "story map" is a prime example of The Good Internet.
