Early or late announcement, or whatever...

Hey guys… I come with a little harsh message that I wasn’t expecting to write.

First of all, no… I’m not leaving, so take that out of the equation. But there are things I want to say now that I found out about something really “painful” if you wanna call it like that.

I knew this was meant to happen at some point, I just didn’t think it would be this fast.

You know that we work our asses off to create exclusive content for you guys, and that I really enjoy making it… but everything goes to shit when I simply find my exclusive content out there on a whole ton of free websites… content that we worked on for months, weeks, days and hours…

Ever since I posted my first ever page for my first comic, my content has been leaked by countless pseudo supporters that only come to steal and post for free. That mostly happened on the lowest tier, because they might be pirates/leeches, but they’re still cheap fucks.

But now I’ve found out that all the work I put into making Avengers: Halftime an exclusive comic wasn’t worth shit… because someone came, paid the amount needed to get the whole comic and then went on a posting spree through all the free posting websites… and even if they posted it on one site, now my comic is flying around all the world wide web, and I’m certainly not happy about it.

Avengers: Halftime was my new baby, I was so proud of being able to say that I had made an exclusive comic that no one else had besides you guys… it even encouraged me to sit down on my chair and continue to burn my brains out to write a series of possible future comics…

But now I don’t know how to feel about it… I can’t do anything about my comic being out there, and I swear I’m freaking pissed off with whoever stole it from us and posted it online… This only makes me think that making extra content might not be the best way to go.

Anyways, it’s late… I was up working and I suddenly came across a whole sea of websites that hosted my content. I did what I could, but we all know things don’t usually go our way in these cases.

The only thing I can do is ask you, with heart in my hand… to respect your fellow patrons, respect yourselves, and respect the money you’re investing in me and my creations. Don’t go around throwing away all the sacrifices we made to create something special for you.

That’s all I’ve got to say… thank you for reading.

Early or late announcement, or whatever...

Sorry for what happened with Avengers: Halftime. The best thing to do is not let what they did stop you from doing what you love to do. Keep up the good work and know that we support you to the end.

I understand your ire, but it seems inevitable to me. The internet is founded on sharing, from its inception to today. Expecting the internet to not share things online is not really reasonable I think. Annoying, for sure. What you've put your time into accessible by people who do not support you directly must be infuriating and I'm glad I'm not in that situation myself. It would seem to me, however, that a better solution than this password way and all that, is to just kinda... open it all up. That way you can more easily advertise yourself, people can more easily share your stuff with friends and such so your name gets more out, and I imagine you'd get further that way, than trying to lock it down further.

Just think of those who truly support you and your works. That is the way to go and move forward.

That’s sad, Ventzx! But don’t give up, we, true supporters, will always be here for you!
