Project Announcement!

Good evening, my patrons!

I'm finally announcing a project that I've been working on for the past few months. I won't be disclosing too much because I really want this to be a nice surprise when I start releasing the content. Here is a concept painting created specifically for this project - the only teaser I'll be displaying for now.

I've always loved to write. In fact, this project is based on a short story I wrote years ago. I could never get the concept out of my head... It was like a good dream that you never forget. As the years went on, I expanded the lore of this story in my day-dreaming hours. Since drawing is my passion, I wasn't able to write all of it down. Could writing even do it justice? That was until I discovered a new story telling method that combined writing skills with art: comics. Creating my recent comic, Tales From Agiros, has forced me to learn and grow in so many ways - from drawing all kinds of angles to maintaining character continuity. This comic was really the most challenging and fun thing I've done with my art since learning how to draw realism. I love drawing the facial expressions, writing the dialogue, and figuring out how to display the background in each scene. I've gotten better at drawing people and buildings, and other things like clothing and weapons I've never given too much thought to. But every piece of every panel plays an important role. I've learned all this just by drawing a fun cartoon.

All this being said, with as much as I love Tales From Agiros, I do yearn to draw a more detailed and graphic novel. I've finally realized that I want my short story translated into such an art form. I believe I've developed the skills I need to accomplish this, and I'm moving forward on the preparations needed for it. This means that, although I hate to say it, Tales From Agiros will be put on hiatus until further notice. However, I'm very excited for what is to come. This project really is an extension of me, and I want to go all in. Hope you all like sci-fi! ;) I certainly am mad about it!

I'll be posting continued commissions for Apotheosis in the meantime. I've been having a lot of fun creating pieces for the author and interacting with the kickstarter backers. They are really a great community, and I'm thankful to be a part of it.
