Today I am sharing a set of work that holds a special place in my heart. It was created back in 2017 with a film camera, in collaboration with one of Taiwan’s most iconic nude models, Sharol Xiao. Her movements were always calm and confident, carrying a soft yet powerful sense of self.
The location was not a studio or a hidden place. It was something much more familiar to all of us. The night market. As we moved through the busy crowd, we found those rare moments of stillness. These photos captured a subtle kind of intimacy, blending public space with private emotion.
Film gave the images a softness and distance, almost like the texture of memory. For me, nude art has always been more than just the body. It is about how we look, how we allow ourselves to be seen, and how much we choose to hold back.
I hope this work brings back a piece of youth, freedom, or a private memory for you as well.
