Proof of Life #267: Beginning development on [part.2], starting with Haylen's new quest.

Hello everyone! How are you doing in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? I'd love to say this PoL will make your day better, but it's pretty boring and basic stuff. Sorry!

So, I've taken it a bit easy since the release of the last update. Still, that doesn't mean I've done nothing. I've gotten the last update "Steam ready", which means changing a few things to make it more compliant with Steam guidelines (removing all mentions of Patreon or the previous games, reworking the early game slightly, and choosing which extra scenes will make it into the Steam version + making the approriate changes) over the week-end.

Right now, I'm preparing [part.2] for Update 20, as mentioned here. Since it implies starting a new game at the exact same point as the end of Update 19, it's a sluggish process that involves looking over every single map of every day and day/night cycle and make sure every event, every freeroam, and every map is in the exact same state as most of us would have left them at the end of the last update (assuming all content has been done). Then, I have to run around the entire map to make sure nothing's broken (as shown in the screenshot above). It's far more gruelling work than I would have expected, and especially boring, but hey, I don't really have a choice^^ For now, "Lundath" is done, and I'm hoping to have the new [part.2] be entirely ready to begin development on Haylen's new quest before the week-end.

As for Haylen herself, I haven't 100% decided how I want her quest to go, but one thing I'm certain of is that we're going to see more of her past trauma and flesh out her character further.

Btw, update will be out for Grunt tiers (5$+) by tomorrow : )
