Quick update in lieu of a PoL

I'm making a quick post because I obviously don't have enough to tell you to make an entire PoL about it.
So, the new update will be available to 5$ tier on the 2nd of November and will go public on the 27th of November.
For the next update, as I hinted in previous PoLs and comments, I'm planning on a more light-hearted update with some more focus on Rose and Cyanna and spicy scenes, and less emphasis on story. How does a beach episode sound? With all their wealth, either the Princess or the Duke must have some kind of pirvate beach somewhere I'm sure.
I finally heard back from the illustrator for the full-body portraits, and it's not good news. Since he's busy with the winter comiket (a huge event for illustrators, mangakas, and such in Japan), any new portrait might have to wait until the end of the year or even early January to be finished...
Edit: Actually, after re-reading his email, the artist said it would "depend on the results of the comiket". I'm not sure what that means, but my best bet would be that artists get chosen to participate or not based on a lottery, and his progress will depend on whether he gets chosen or not.
Still no news about the pixel artist either. I just hope he's doing okay.

Hey man, I'm a big fan of yours from HC2, I love what you're doing with HC3...I just wanna let you know ur keeping the NTR genre afloat for the last couple of years. I know I am getting way ahead of myself but I was playing this game called "Survival Mission Z" and I can't help but think damn N_taii did this it would be a blockbuster of ntr games. especially with the pixel animation. I know maybe you don't like the whole "survival zombie " theme but think about it the main character working hard to keep the wife/ mom safe while she is piping down the whole zombie community. this is just an idea. but like damn u gotta check it out its also Pixel with the cg sex scenes its a small game but THE IDEA wow!!...anyway I know ur already busy but try the game out on ur free time if u can maybe u get inspired for your next magnum opus

2024-10-31 19:13:43 +0000 UTCAnother thing you could do is that you could make 2 separate beach Updates, the first one being Update17 with Rose&Cyanna (obviously), and then down the line sometime in the future you could do another one as a Haylen Update, and you could make this upcoming beach quest a pre-requisite for that Haylen sidequest, so that you could add Cyanna as well, maybe even Rose too, but a quest where both Cyanna and Haylen gets scenes i think is plenty enough, not to mention you would already have all the maps available from this Update as well, so you wouldn't have to spend time making new ones for that quest.

Still, I’d really like to see a freeroam segment like the ones near the end of the dukes party or at the pirate tavern. But with all four girls this time :)

After all, if people haven't done any of the side storyline, they aren't going to care if they don't see the new Haylen and Lily content. Still, any event with Lily and Haylen will most likely be limited to freeroams, as I want the focus of the main quest to remain on Cyanna and Rose for the bigger scenes. Lily and Haylen already got plenty of scenes in their own storylines : )

2024-10-30 00:21:55 +0000 UTCDon’t know if these would be doable but some ideas for including Lily and Haylen in the beach episode… A. Warn the player they will miss out on scenes if they dont’ completed quests 23 and 24 first. For those who ignore the warnings, unlock those scenes in the Reminiscence Room. B. Have Quest 26 unlock after quests 23, 24 and 25 are all complete. If someone is that against doing the Lily or Haylen’s storylines first, the saves you provide usually have those quests complete anyway. Would be a shame if Lily and Haylen didn’t get the chance to wear sexy swimsuits too.

2024-10-29 21:46:28 +0000 UTCA resort is a good idea, but it might be harder to pull off in terms of maps and the number of asset needed. Besides, I couldn't really give Lily or Haylen any content, even if they came along, because of the way the quests are set up. I'm assuming giving them more spicy content is the reason why you're asking both characters to be included? I could technically do scenes that trigger based on someone's progression with either Lily or Haylen's storylines, but that would mean anyone that hasn't progressed far enough in their respective storyline yet would be locked out of that part of their content forever since they couldn't revisit the quest. That's something I'd rather avoid.

2024-10-29 21:45:34 +0000 UTCIf I'm being honest I don't really pay much attention to the portraits unless they're specifically the profile busts used in conversation boxes. I often forget that the "character profile" tab even exists, I've probably missed out on at least one piece of artwork per character simply because I don't remember it exists. So, uh, I guess what I'm saying is if a piece of artwork has to get added retroactively then that's just the way it goes. As for a beach episode... I'd kinda rather it be more of a resort. That way you can justify Haylen and Lily showing up. Rose invites Cyanna, Lily, and Haylen, Leto, Jazon somehow winds up coming along, and Ulrod and the magic shop owner are along as guests of the duke. Maybe even justify Jazon coming along as a way to get back into his uncle's good graces since said uncle is a member of the duke's secret society.

2024-10-28 21:02:15 +0000 UTCMy ONLY problem with the beach Update is that you can't get Haylen involved in that, other than that i'm all for it. As for the portraits...i don't really care if they're a few months late if i'm being honest, i love how they look, and i especially love the progression of them as a whole, but individually they're like 15 seconds of content for me whenever another one is added to the game, i basically just load up save100 that has everything unlocked, i open up the "Character Profile" tab, i go "so that's the new one huh, nice", and then i go back and actually start playing the new update, and i don't even think about the portraits again until there's a new one coming out. Another thing is that i really like this guy's artstyle, and i'd much rather have a portrait from this artist 3 months late, then to have an "okay" at best portrait on time from someone else.
