Proof of Life #228: Climax getting closer

Done good progress since last PoL. The extra scene is 99% finished and tested, and I've started the very last chain of events before the end of the update. I've decided to add one more scene before the final scene, which I'm working on right now. Well, it's not really a new scene, but rather a bunch of planned short events that I decided to group into one scene instead. So yeah, this update will have something like 4-5 scenes + some more smaller sexy events all throughout, so quite packed with content.
Now, to adress the elephant in the room: the release date. I want to release the game sometimes next week. I'm not exactly sure when, it'll depend on how far I manage to progress this week, and how fast the artists can work (one is bedridden with fever right now, and the other is busy irl, so not great. I've tried to ask other people, but those situations are always quite stressful). I'll give you more details in the next PoL anyway.
After I've finally released this update, I also want to write a proper post adressing why the development time between each update has been getting longer and longer. Honestly, you guys are great, and I haven't seen many people complaining about it, but I at least owe you some explanation.

That's awesome! Hope it works out. Shorter games allow you to try out different ideas between bigger projects.

However, this time, I won't take a 1-month break like I did last time, because I won't be doing any tourism once I'm back (unlike when I came here). I'll probably take a ~10 days vacation to focus on the move (2 weeks at most, if something unexpected comes up, but unlikely), so I'll be going ahead with the usual release schedule, which means there's no realy need for one big update before I leave.

2024-06-30 23:06:30 +0000 UTCHeeey man, i swear i'm gonna stop being obnoxious and fuck off after i post this (at least until the Update is out), but last night i thought about what you said a few days ago, how you were originally planning on doing a Haylen Update after this one, but you were also thinking about making a Poll and letting people decide instead. Now keep in mind, this idea is all based on me assuming that you're gonna move back from Japan EXACLY 1 year after you moved there, meaning early September, so if that's not the case then this is already pointless but i'll write it down anyways. If i'm right and you ARE moving in September, then why not make 1 big Update that you work on for (almost) 2 months like you did last year with Update8 ? I mean sure, after Update14 Lily is going to be caught up with Haylen, but Rose&Cyanna are still miles ahead compared to the two of them, so why not make an Update where you make 2 sidequests like used to do at the beginning ? You make 1 for Haylen and 1 for Lily, and after you're back home and ready to work again, you're gonna be able to just spam MSQs for multiple Updates in a row cause the side characters are gonna be pretty much caught up to the main characters at that point.

2024-06-30 11:27:26 +0000 UTCWell, the idea was to have 1 MSQ, 1 Haylen quest and 1 Lily quest in a loop until they've caught up with each other because the side girls are still kind of behind. I'll see though, maybe I'll make another poll.

2024-06-28 17:20:35 +0000 UTCThe only reason i could think of why you would do another Haylen Quest before going back to the main story is because you plan on making this next MSQ a really long quest, at least long enough to where you need to divide it into 2 Updates at the very least, so before you commit to that you wanna do another quest for a side character.

Don't get me wrong i have nothing against Haylen, especially now that she's having sex with Jazon, i'm just genuinely surprised cause it seemed so obvious that you would continute the Main Story after Update13 that i didn't even consider that you would go back and do another Quest for Haylen.
