Proof of Life #162: New map interactions and new NPCs

Heya guys and gals, how is it going for ya'll in the middle of the first month of this year 2023? Things are going well for me: wake up, develop, game, develop, go to sleep, rinse and repeat. All in all, progress has been made, but still more to go.

I'm still on Haylen's quest, kind of. All that's left for it are two H scenes: the extra one, and another one to conclude the quest. Scenes are always the longest to develop, so it's still going to take a little while before I'm done and everything's tested. 

Currently, I'm waiting on custom animations for both scenes, without which I can't finish the quest. That's why I've decided that, instead of working on the main quest, which will also require quite a lot of custom work from the artists, I'll focus on removing and adding new NPCs for each timeframe + new interactions with Rose, Cyanna, Haylen, and Lily on the map. This tends to take more time than one might think at first, because it's not easy to come up with new situations and dialogue lines for over 60 new-ish NPCs (merchants included)^^

I know some of you might feel disgruntled by the fact that I'm spending time on non story-related content at the expense of story progression and more H content, but I find it really important that the town doesn't feel "stuck in time" like so many RPGs, and that the Harbor District doesn't look like it only revolves around the MC. In the long run, the end result for HC3 matters more than the content of each update.

Also, as you can see, Haylen's support character, the second nun, has been modified slightly. Now she has a veil : )

So, to summarize, expect Haylen and Lily's second quest for Update 3, and some more NPC + heroines interactions. Main Quest progression will be for next update.

By the way, the public version of Update 2 will be released on the 21st most likely, because I'll be very busy on the 22nd.
