Proof of Life #88: Tomorrow New Update! : )

Heya guys and gals, here is a short PoL post right before the new update 12 : )

About HC2's development

I've got almost everything wrapped. I'll use the remaining time I have left before the release to prepare the new update and add one last freeroam.

As for freeroam events, there will be 20 of them added in tomorrow's update. Five for the end of the game, and 15 for the beginning. However, it can be tricky to add freeroam events at the beginning of the game, because I have to make sure they fit the story and the corruption progression, that they don't create duplicates of characters that would be in two places at the same time, that they're at least a little bit unique, etc.... 

So, rather than adding tons of freeroams with one animation and 2-3 lines of text everywhere and pulling out my hair in the process, I went for what I believe to be quality over quantity, which means a lot of them will be a bit more complex, a bit like mini-repeatable scenes lasting between 2 to 3 minutes.

As for the rest of the update, as I mentioned it several times already, it will be the end of quest 42+ an extra scene + a fully implemented reminiscence room. : )

About HC3's development

As you can see from the gif above, the base sprite that will serve as a model for all future characters of HC3 is now done. What do you think?

Soon, I'll have the artists working on different breasts size, clothing and haircut, as well as different skin tones, a male model, etc... But it's all in the future ; )

I also have more new assets for the map, mainly houses for now, but I really look forward to using them in a custom map.
