Proof of Life #85: Sneak Peek at the (possible) New Sprite Models

Not much to say about HC2, but new HC3 stuff.
About HC2's development
I'm almost done with the reminiscence room. I think by tomorrow, it should be fully operational. I had a few setbacks during the weekend when people noticed game breaking bugs caused by the RPGMaker engine messing up my files for no reason, so I had to dedicate some time to fix it.
The scenes in the room will be mainly the same as the ones in the save files. Sometimes, I "compiled" the scenes that took up 4 to 5 saves into one big scene that can be seen in one go in the reminiscence room, just to make it a bit easier to watch.
About HC3's development

As you can see on the left of this post's picture, this might be the new model for HC3's sprites, and on the right the current model for HC2. I asked to artist to add some hair so I could see what it looks like with it. Once I have, I'll decide whether I'll use this new model or not.
After that, I'll still need to commission new outfits, haircut, different skin tones and breasts size as well as male bodies, so it's just the beginning. Maybe also different body sizes for different races, who knows?

PS: Nipples have been edited out of the sprites to be extra sure not to break any rules on this site. I know it's just one pixel, but you never know^^

2021-07-21 13:13:15 +0000 UTCSorry, I didn't refresh my page and your comment didn't appear! You should download the most recent one (fix 2) and it should work fine. Also, just for good measure, try exiting and re-entering the map after downloading the fix2 version. Sometimes, the change don't apply as long as you don't exit the map first.

2021-07-21 09:56:23 +0000 UTCThe pixel art game Between Dream and Reality makes very good use of bigger and humanlike sprites and seems to have a lot of great and unique adult animations. Maybe thats a place to get some inspiration...

2021-07-20 10:00:22 +0000 UTCNow the big challenge will be to have different body types, a lot of different clothings and accessoirs (maybe start with a set of basics, eg coloured tshirts, trousers) for npcs and main characters and then a lot of variations with the animations, mostly for adult stuff. As these sprites are unique everything needs to be made from scratch. That will be a lot of work!
