Pi-Rats are designed for assassination, infiltration, and cyber warfare. Their heights can average between 5' max to 2' on the runt size. They are often heavily equipped with cybernetics as Anthro rats were the test subjects for humans in developing and improving prosthetic limbs and due to their use in proxy war combat, many often receive server injuries during fights. They are fierce fighters, but loyal to their commanding humans. There are also digital AI created Pirats, (such as the Pirats faced by Micro and Rokki). These Pirats have no physical form and exist exclusively online.

They reason rodents were chosen for these wars were due to their fast breeding capability and a reduced public concern for the deaths of rats and mice, who were still generally seen as vermin by the populace as a whole. Rodents are also have incredible survival and adaptation skills making them the perfect soldiers. Each country had their own program of TechMice and Pi-Rats once the genetic coding and technology got out. With the aid of advanced growth chambers and treatments, a brood of new born rodents can be aged at a rapid rat, though as each new generation is born, their genetic coding seems to be instinctively reducing the number of newborns produced with each subsequent birth. It's believe this too was designed in their DNA to prevent a situation of over population.

The one draw back to TechMouse and Pi-Rat genetic coding is that the initial batch of subjects, while having much longer life spans than their feral ancestors, still have an overall shorter life span than the modern day Alden humanimals.
