Proof of Life #47: Making Progresses

About HC2's development
It's going well. I've been mainly progressing on the main story for now, and I'm also doing some work on the side-quests. After Solana, I'm focusing on Neve and, later, it will be Thania's turn.
I've been worrying a lot about how to present the main sex scenes to the player. I know some might prefer it to be 100% voyeurism, but due to the sheer amount of side-characters and related sex-scenes, it is a bit hard to make something realistic while having the MC witness everything. Why doesn't the MC react if he knows what is going on?
That's why I took the liberty to show the scenes to the players even though the MC isn't physically present, so the MC remains oblivious about some aspects of the story, but the players are aware of the bigger picture.

I've been receiving a great amount of support since the beginning of the month. I know I might sound like a broken record at this point, but I am extremely grateful to you all. Thanks to you, I've been picturing a future where I could dedicate myself full-time to the game. I'm going to do my best so you guys aren't disappointed by the rest of the game : )

I hit enter on accident. To finish my thought, not seeing the act itself but seeing the changes in characters from those off screen interactions would be fun to see.

2020-10-26 01:24:09 +0000 UTCIt looks really nice and cant wait to see how things are going to work out. In regards to how to present the sex scenes to the player, I think how you've been doing it is pretty solid. That said, I do think that not seeing everything would be fun.

2020-10-26 01:22:57 +0000 UTCThanks! Yes, the MC being oblivious is something I wanna keep going for as long as I can^^ Same for the skip option for more..."complicated" mini-games. When I was writing the walkthrough for the alchemy mini game, it dawned on me that it absolutely needed as skip option. Also, some people have requested it, so here it is : ) Same for the skip option for sex scenes, because people wanted to have some elements of mystery for the NTR, which was my way of satsfying both those people and those who want to see the action. Again, thank you for the feedback!

2020-10-22 06:02:05 +0000 UTCTo answer some of your questions: I personally like the main character being "oblivious" of what is going on. That said, I also enjoy being able to watch the scenes. I think the way you did it in update 2 was great. It allowed those of us who wanted to watch - watch and others could skip. I also find it clever how you have those windows so us - the player - can see into all the bedrooms - even if the main character is clueless. :) Also - I really appreciated the ability to "skip" the potion mini-game but still complete the quest. That is a great option to include so that the folks who enjoy the challenge can do it but not force it on folks who will just get frustrated. Keep up the great work!

2020-10-22 03:53:13 +0000 UTCUnless there's something unexpected happening irl, all updates will come out max 1 month after the previous one. Right now, development is going as usual, so Update 3 is scheduled for latest November 10th, or even a few days earlier if I can : )
