Giantess Apocalypse

Special Alert: The Giantess Apocalypse

Date: D+7 of the Growth Onset

Location: Global News Agency Studio, Bunker B-12, Alaska.

The studio was eerily quiet, the only light coming from the monitors displaying saturated video feeds and scale graphs that no longer made any sense. In front of the camera, Eva Rostova, the crisis correspondent, tried to maintain a semblance of professionalism.

EVA ROSTOVA, GN Anchor: ...And as we have reported over the past few hours, the phenomenon, now officially designated as the "Giantess Apocalypse," shows no sign of slowing down. The number of active cases has reached thousands. These growths are still exclusively female and... the rate of expansion is exponential.

She adjusts her earpiece, her eyes fixed on a graph showing a column of growth surpassing the Karman line.

EVA ROSTOVA, GN Anchor: We now turn to our geophysics specialist, Dr. Alistair Vance. Dr. Vance, a week ago, we were talking about girls the size of buildings. Yesterday, we were talking about the size of mountain ranges. Right now, the largest known entity, code-named by the military "Hecate," is reaching... what is your most recent estimation?

DR. VANCE (via video conference, voice trembling): Hecate... Hecate has surpassed the atmosphere. She is visible from every night spot in the Northern Hemisphere. She is... she is in low orbit, Eva. Her mass is now sufficient to modify the regional gravitational field. Tides have become chaotic. We are no longer talking about biological growth; we are talking about a reverse planetary formation event. The lithosphere cannot support this.

A sharp beep rings out in the studio. Eva turns to her console, her fingers tapping frantically.

EVA ROSTOVOA, GN Anchor: An alert has just come in. It is an update from Space Defense. Wait a second... The report identifies "Hecate" as Subject 16-Delta, a eighteen-year-old girl named Sarah Jenkins. A teenager is causing this... No, that's not possible. The audio feeds from global monitoring stations are also picking up... strange sonic phenomena. Listen...

A low, rumbling sound, barely discernible at first, begins to grow louder, layered with what sounds like distant, echoing laughter.

GIANTESS VOICE 1 (distorted, booming): "GOSH THIS IS SO FUN!"

Her eyes widen as the world map behind her goes dark, replaced by a raw satellite transmission. The blue and white curve of the Earth is visible. But a shape, a massive, unreal human silhouette, has begun to envelop the planet, its limbs stretching into the vacuum of space.

EVA ROSTOVA, GN Anchor: The report indicates... that Hecate has reached a scale where the cohesion forces of the Earth itself are compromised. She is no longer contained by terrestrial attraction. She uses... she generates her own gravity. And... and the satellite imagery suggests she is not just enveloping the globe. She appears to be casually running her fingers across the continents, rearranging landmasses with playful, disinterested movements.

GIANTESS VOICE 2 (closer, arrogant): "PATHETIC ANTS!"

She pauses, trying to decipher the words on the screen that describe impossible physics. The silence thickens. In the satellite image, the enormous form, now wider than the Moon would appear on the horizon, begins to curve, her fingers gently indenting the crust, as if she were testing the texture of clay.

EVA ROSTOVA, GN Anchor: We're picking up more vocalizations, Dr. Vance. They're... they're getting clearer.

DR. VANCE (line cutting out, his voice now just a whisper in the background): She is bigger than the planet. She... she contains us now. And she's bored.

GIANTESS VOICE 3 (ecstatic, destructive): "LET'S RESHAPE THE ENTIRE REGION!"

GIANTESS VOICE 4 (menacing, echoing): "GOSH I WILL CRUSH EVERY CONTINENT!"

The studio lights flicker. The hum of the emergency generators stops. Eva looks up at the bunker ceiling, realizing the floor may already be fragmenting under the weight and tidal force of the entity. The voice of "Hecate" herself, Sarah Jenkins, now booms directly into the feed, chillingly calm.

SARAH JENKINS (Hecate, calm, chilling): "Nice little toys."

SARAH JENKINS (Hecate, slightly amused): "Let's break this little blue ball."

EVA ROSTOVA, GN Anchor (her voice is now a simple confession): We... We have reached the end of this broadcast. There is no more atmosphere, no more...

The transmission cuts off in a crackle of electronic snow, just as the shadow of the largest entity, invisible from within but manifestly present, absorbs the sun's residual light. The final frozen image is that of an unreal, distant gaze, which no longer looks at the Earth, but is the cosmos.

Comments

Loved the story and details of the escalating effects of "Hecate" size on the planet. Really hawt
