Story Idea

Going through all my things and organizing I've been finding a lot of interesting bits and pieces. This was a story Idea I was working on ages ago and I think it still holds up. Lemme know what you think.

Unceremoniously dumped off at a school for wayward girls, Mable begins to learn that the polished and prim exterior the school exudes hides a constant battle within its walls. 

Trying to keep her identity hidden, Mable soon finds herself entrenched in the strange caste system within the school. 

The school is ruled over by 5 elite gangs consisting of the schools most powerful,elite, rich, and strange students (magical girl, witch, princess, and monster girls). All 5 are vying for power, only one holds complete reign of the school and it’s students. Led by the beautiful and charismatic Violet, a princess who wields an enchanted sword that allows her power to defeat her enemies. 

Mable unwittingly becomes a pawn in Violet’s desire to remain on top after it is discovered Mable possesses a strange ability to disable a person for a limited time, even Violet’s all-powerful sword. 

Mable is shocked to later learn she has become the new #1 Moll, a girl desired by all the gangs and seen as a status symbol. She is soon sought after by all the gangs and must fight to keep her secrets hidden, as well as keep her new friends safe since the girl gangs will do anything to harness Mable and her strange gift.

Mable: (unknown)

Arrives at the school in the middle of the night, at first she only sees the polished side of the school and doesn’t realize the inner-war of the school. Her roommate is Tennie a magical girl who’s transformation item is broken and does strange things without warning. Mable tries to keep her background a secret, barely revealing anything about herself. She hides snacks,enjoying eating at all times. She’s surprisingly strong, able to lift heavy things by herself. She also possesses an ability that negates another person’s abilities for a short period of time, it’s this strange power that causes her to become desired by the entire school and labeled a Moll. She wants nothing to do with the girl gangs or the Moll system, so she sometimes has to fight her way out of situations. She prefers to keep to herself, but she becomes close friends with Tennie and her friends, and often seeks refuge with the school librarian. Her favorite color is purple and her favorite food is cream-filled snack cakes.

Princess Violet (princess)

A powerful princess and the uncontested leader of the entire school. Her girl gang powerful and carefully hand selected. Violet is beautiful and intelligent, but has a weakness for extremely cute things. In her spare time she sews adorable plushies that she keeps hidden away. She possesses a powerful sword that is enchanted with the spirit of an all powerful genie. Using the sword she easily became the leader of the school. Violet is the first one to discover Mable’s strange ability when Mable easily deflects her sword and takes it away from her. Violet is also the one to enlist Mable as a Moll and vows to be the one to win her over. She won’t admit she has a crush on Mable. Violet’s gang means the world to her, and despite her cold and calculated appearance she would lose her cool if any of them were hurt. Her favorite color is white and her favorite food is garlic bread.

Tennie: (Magical girl)

Mable’s roommate and a magical girl. Her transformation item is broken and often does things without warning. And anytime Tennie tries to transform unexpected things happen, like a half transformation, leaving her nude and covered in sparkles, or turning her into a small animal. She’s kind and nurturing, left at the school because her team abandoned her and she destroyed a city out of anger. She’s a little naive, often mispronouncing words and getting common sayings wrong. She has anger issues, often exploding when upset. She has a close group of friends which she brings Mable into. Tennie has a huge crush on an animated character, most of her belongings possessing their image. The character looks like Aster, a member of Violet’s gang. Her favorite color is pink and her favorite food is strawberries.

Poppy: (princess)

A member of Violet’s gang and her oldest friend. Confined to a wheelchair that she is constantly modifying, she often runs over students in the halls and performs tricks in it. Rikki considers herself a mad scientist, often building powerful robots and fighting machines. She also builds armor and weapons, but her favorite thing is to create weapons of mass destruction and giant robots. Poppy and Violet have been best friend’s since early childhood with Violet helped fix Rikki’s wheelchair after bullies stole it from her. Poppy is deeply devoted to Violet and considers Violet her sister. She gets jealous of the attention Violet shows to Mable and is the first of Violet’s gang to challenge Mable to a fight. Her favorite color is chrome and her favorite food is spicy pork rinds.

Aster: (princess/monster:beast demon)

Violet’s most powerful, a strong and intimidating woman who has been in the school since she was a child. Possessed by a demon her family dropped her off there to live rather than deal with it. As such, she was considered a wild animal before Violet took her under her wing, making her into a general-like idol. Aster and her demon are on good terms, the demon inside feeling like a parental figure to her,often giving her advice and wisdom. When Aster allows the demon to take possession during battle, she becomes a terrifying beast whose strength is unsurpassed. Aster bares a striking resemblance to an animated character Tennie is obsessed with, which Aster tries to use, considering she has a sizeable crush on Tennie which she has kept hidden since Tennie is seen as an undesirable in the school. Aster’s favorite color is orange and her favorite food is popsicles. 

Daisy: (monster: succubus)

Considered one of the most beautiful girls in the school and was once the number one Moll. She enjoys attention and flattery, but she enjoys breaking hearts more, especially since she’s a succubus. She’s a master of disguise and hypnotism, able to turn anyone into her unwilling servant. She respects Violet, and while she was a little reluctant to stop being a Moll she became a member of Violet’s gang when asked. She is often found flirting and picking lovers who usually last no longer than a day. She’s also considered the school’s idol and receives love letters and confessions daily despite her reputation. Her favorite color is red and her favorite food is chocolate.

Pansy: (witch/ninja)

Violet’s spy and information gatherer. Pansy is considered the fastest student in the school as well as being extremely quiet. Bullied often as a child she learned the art of silence and speed, using her skills to escape and hide without detection. She rarely speaks and usually only whispers to her gang-mates. She is often always seen with Poppy, either beside her or riding on the back of her wheelchair. She prefers quiet spaces, Mable often finding her hiding out in the library. She constantly has earphones in, although it is later discovered the only thing ever playing is rain sounds. Pansy uses disguises so she can blend into crowds for her spying purposes. She enjoys hiding in unexpected places and laying in positions that would seem uncomfortable. She is also usually the test subject of Poppy’s crazy inventions. Her favorite color is mint and her favorite food is energy bars.

Espie: (princess/witch)

A friend of Tennie’s and a princess, sent to the school for invoking a sleeping curse over an entire kingdom while trying to learn magic. Her sleep magic comes from a bag of sleepy sand she keeps with her at all times, a link to the home she misses so much. Espie was asked by the witches to join their gang, but she declined as she doesn’t agree with the somewhat brutal nature of the girl gang system in the school. Generally a pacifist, she only flares up when one of her friends gets hurt. She becomes quick friends with Mable, and is intrigued by her power negating abilities that she begins researching, even going as far as contacting her wizard uncle to help her discover the source of such magic. Espie is lighthearted and fun loving, always trying to make her friends smile and laugh. She also very protective of them, often times acting as the group ‘mom’. Espie has a history with the leader of the monster girl gang, Nora. The two seem to have animosity towards each other but also hold each other with high regard and speak as if they have a long history. Espie complains about Nora’s attitude, but if pressed says only nice things. Espie can fly, but while she is in the school she can merely hover. She is also often called to volunteer with the nurse, her sleep magic used quite a bit to put rambunctious students to sleep. Her favorite color is lavender and her favorite food is coconut bars.

Gabby/Gabriella: (monster)

A cyclops girl, timid and easily scared. Her father sent her to the school to try and toughen up. Gabby relies heavily on her friends Espie and Tennie. She’s extremely intelligent and was once the top student overall in grades. But once her intelligence was known she was sought out as a Moll. This terrified her so she began making mistakes on her tests on purpose. She enjoys helping her friends study, and she’s able to relax when all of them are around. At first Gabby is scared of Mable, and rarely talks or looks at her. But when Mable saves her one day she is able to open up and trust Mable. With Mabe’s help she begins to want to try and stand up for herself and let her voice be heard. Gabby one day hopes to be a teacher and take over this school which has been a bane on her existence. She enjoys quiet hiding places and often bumps into Pansy who does the exact same thing. Behind the scenes the two bond in their shared silence and wish to not be seen. Gabby’s favorite color is blue and her favorite food is anything spicy.

Nora: (monster: vampire)

Leader of the monster girl gang, a powerful vampire. Nora considers herself Violet’s ultimate rival, but her sword causes extremely painful wounds to Nora. She appears very cold and unapproachable, even the members of her gang say she’s hard to read. Nora and Espie have a past that they rarely bring up, but Espie is probably the only person Nora speaks of kindly. When they’re alone Nora is able to let her guard down slightly. Nora wants to bring her monster gang to the top of the pyramid, proving once and for all that monster-girls are a force to be reckoned with and not creatures to hide in caves and haunted castles. She’s considered extremely beautiful and some say rivals Daisy, but Nora’s dour personality doesn’t get her quite as many fans. She’s strong and resilient and willing to fight for her goals. Her favorite color is black and her favorite food is blood. 

Erzsebet:

A school legend tells of a woman who kept her youth by bathing in the blood of the female students at Madame Aguillard’s. She remained a student for decades, just so she could keep her beautiful and youthful appearance. She was eventually found out and captured and hidden away somewhere on the school grounds. The girls tell the tale like a horror story, and many school activities revolve around the legend of Erzsebet, including girls pricking their fingers and writing their wishes on mirrors. Unbeknownst to them Erzsebet is actually real, still alive in the catacombs under the school. She is slowly regaining her strength and power, waiting to seek her revenge on the school above. Mable is the unwitting source of Erzsebet’s resurrection.
