Tentacle Lover (preview)

One day you come home, feeling particularly run down. You collapse on the couch and lay there. You feel your shoes slip off and then Spike’s tentacles coil around your feet and squeeze them.

“Hi, Spike,” you mutter and wiggle your toes. 

They squeeze and knead your feet, going up your legs and massaging your calves. “What’s wrong?” Their voice is gentle and sweet.

You sigh and close your eyes, cuddling more to the pillow in your arms. “I’m just tired,” you grumble.

Spike’s kneading climbs further up your legs and to your back. It feel really good, especially when they are able to pop your neck. “This isn’t the normal tired, is it?” Their voice is full of sympathy.

You shake your head slowly and sniffle. “No.”

Spike crawls up you and lays beside you and cuddles against your chest. You wrap your arms around them, grateful to have someone to talk to and be there at the end of the day. You hug them tight and sniffle. Spike wipes away your tears and you feel something soft and squishy on your cheek. A small kiss. You look up at Spike and smile.

“I like that.” Spike bops the end of your nose. 

“Like what?” You ask.

“Seeing your smile.”

“Then why do you try to scare me so much?” You ask.

Spike nuzzles under your chin, their tentacles coiling and squeezing all around you, wrapping you up in the best hug you’ve ever had. “I like seeing how you react,” they murmur. “But I always like when you smile afterwards.”

“Your laughs are cute,” you admit. “I like hearing you laugh.”

Spike shivers and squeezes you more. “You do?”

You kiss one of Spike’s tentacles. “I really do.”

Spike rises up. “You should take a bath!” They say suddenly. You gasp as they lift you up, carrying you to the bathroom. They hold you suspended in the air, like some strange hammock, as they fill the tub. They toss in bath salts and a bathbomb. They also start to strip your clothes away. You’re impressed by their ability to multitask.
