In case you haven’t noticed, both of Kira’s stand abilities are named after Queen songs (Killer Queen and Sheer Heart Attack). As for why Kira basically has two stands in one, I’m still not really sure. Other stands in the past have had multiple uses, i.e. Hierophant Green being able to emerald splash but also being able to extend its body like a worm, or Hermit Purple having the spirit photography ability, but also able to shoot out like spiderman, but no stand has ever really had two incredibly distinct powers apart from each other. I get that there’s the argument of “using your stand creatively” as we’ve seen a million times with Star Platinum, but Kira really does just have two stands. They’re entirely separate abilities.

The dude was like, "How could you?" 🤣 - I think Koichi's character/mental development has something to do with it. 2024-07-11 01:25:13 +0000 UTCThere's important distinction in stand "types" that they kinda touched on in this episode when they mentioned that "the stand user can't be far away if the stand is this powerful" Usually, as you might have noticed, 'short-range stands' like Star Platinum, The World, Silver Chariot and Crazy Diamond are very powerful, in a more straight-forward way 'Long-range stands', like Hierophant Green, Lovers or Echoes Acts 1 & 2, typically lack raw "physical" power (some can be very powerful, but not in a traditional "punchy" way, instead relying on an ability or a gimmick) But there are also 'automatic stands', which we haven't really seen before Part 4 - their raw power isn't tied to their range to the user; like Sheer Heart Attack here, they just follow a specific set of rules without the user's direct control or awareness Automatic stands often don't even share damage with the user, and in some cases can be defeated or "killed" without the user even feeling it
