The one thing about this kind of episodes in one piece is just on a chill and you can enjoy the flow of it it is light to watch and funny also

There weren’t many cover stories that were adapted to the anime though. And the other cover stories show the adventures of what other characters in the one piece world that luffy interacts with are up to. And yes these stories are cannon. Only one other was adapted into the anime. At some point in the future maybe you can check them out. But you shouldn’t have to worry about that for a little while.
