2020-12-13 06:06:36 +0000 UTCTechnically, the spirit itself is Willow, however with Willow's inhabitance of the body they are essentially one-in-the-same. Tom has described that left unoccupied, even briefly, the body "develops it's own personality" rather quickly but it's a personality that isn't necessarily the same as its former owner's. Willow doomed the body's owner accidentally tragically by means of its nature as a Will-of-the-wisp trying to make a friend. Willow is essentially a sentient yet "friendly" rogue splinter off a larger, more malevolent "hive-mind" type entity, which in classic folklore leads wayward travelers haphazardly to their doom.
