2020-03-01 19:19:10 +0000 UTCSo far in the Modern Day AU we have: Zen: College student by day. Assassin/mercenary for hire by night. Raine: Attends same college as Zen. Secret super-genius who designs all his gizmos/gadgets and acts as his "guy in the chair". Keith: Mild mannered lawyer who struggles to balance his duty to the law while having to hide his association with his mate Natani and his brother Zen because of their less-than-legal career choice. Natani: Unknown. Probably also still an assassin/mercenary like his brother. Probably still mated to/causing problems for Keith. Maren: International jewel/art thief who runs circles around Interpol while leading them on odd, geography based goose chases. Sythe: Unknown, but as modified from a comment by Reseen Dalls above, I like the idea that he is a straight-laced Interpol Agent who is tasked with bringing in Maren. The two have quite the checkered history together, and maybe a little more interest in each other than is strictly professional. His search leads him to All-Wolf University (AWU), a Historically Keidran college that has recently been experiencing an odd spike in organized crime. There, he contacts local attorney Keith, who is reluctant to direct him towards any leads that might implicate Nat, Zen, and Raine. Meanwhile, Maren is on the hunt for her next big score, but realizes she might have gotten in over her head when she runs afoul of arch-rival and infamous crime lord, Clovis, Prince of Greed. Now, to get her prize and outwit the dastardly Clovis and his goons, she might have to do the one thing she swore she'd never stoop to - ask Agent Sythe for help.

2020-03-01 18:45:25 +0000 UTCHe's the lovable cop who runs after her screaming "in the name of the law", who's determined to catch (and keep hilariously failing) but still begrudgingly respects her for her respect of others' life and her talent, while trying to suppress the feelings he has for her, which she uses to tease him regularly, especially when she's disguised. And sometimes they join forces to take down truly heinous villains. (I think I got all the tropes.)
