Game hard crashes my machine after a few minutes of play. Like it literally shuts down... That needs to be fixed. Also, please host the files somewhere. You can get a dropbox account for 14 bucks a month. It took me 2 days to download using the Mega link and the 5 hour chunks...It is definitely a great start. The model needs nipples for sure too. If they are there they are hard to see. They need to be an adjustable thing.

The game just goes in a random folder on your SSD, it has nothing to do with Steam. Make a copy of the exe to put on your desktop and launch from that.

I got that too while using Google. U should use Yanex it may be in Russian or some language but it worked for me. The other need a damn subscription, or you'll wait 10 years for it to download.

Man you’re a genius dude. I’ve got at least like 30 hours in the game now and I still haven’t explored even half the map. Despite all the bugs I can definitely look past the bugs considering you are the only developer and there’s still so much content. This game has so much potential! Any of the 3 mirrors above, I used the free mega and had to wait 6 hours for each 5 gb part of the download so it took about a day to complete. Once it was completely download in a folder, I extracted it worked. Made a shortcut for desktop and the game runs perfectly from the random folder in my documents.

I down loaded from google and after files were automatically extracted by rar extractor to my download folder i open them and they are all empty so I DL. from yandex and the exact thing happens I have been working on this since Feb 11. and today I canceled my patreon because I'm just wasting my money looked like a fun game but their has to be a better way to get it in steam it's no problem, I don't know and frankly I give up.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I cannot get this game to run. I have followed the steps but it still only opens the base demo. I have uninstalled the demo on steam and downloaded the file for the alpha but it still won't work.

There are some annoying bugs that need to be fixed. Like the fact that you are stuck on some medic issue like food poisoning, and it's not cured, no health regen, and only if you save and load, that fixes it. I finally found a Radiation detector. Then I got stuck on 1 health and couldn't regen. Had no issues. I saved, Loaded back, and then I died and died and died and died and then all is gone. I got into a death loop. Now, I know it's Alpha but after you work on a base ( I built a really nice base at the start point, above the cave) and you lose everything like that is annoying. So I really really hope there will be some kind of an update soon for all the bugs.

I cant seem to get the game to extract. im following the steps(i think). it opens in breezip and i "extract" it to my downloads and it has its own folder. but when i got to open it. It keeps telling me that its not extracted. rinse and repeat. This is the file name- TP_Alpha_v_0.1.2.2.0 and it had the content in it that i can see

hello, i seem to be having an issue saving. When i save via campfire the game crashes, but when I save using the cheat menu, for some reason it only loads me into the starter cave. Furthermore, when i check appdata no "TheParasites" folder is created, was there a particular installation step I missed other than downloading and extracting the rar?

I get the loading screen, then it crashes and the Unreal Engine crash reporter, but there is no option to send. it does load the tutorial though.

Would you happen to have Onedrive active on your PC? This can reset your settings and overwrite your latest game save file with an old version. If you do see the Onedrive cloud on your system tray, I recommend right clicking it and open settings. In the account tab, click the blue line "Unlink this PC" and do not sign in, You can then close OneDrive and Uninstall it if you feel the need too or open Task Manager then Start Up Apps and set Onedrive to disabled. If you notice any files go missing after unlinking OneDrive, log into its main website from Microsoft using the same email and password to make your microsoft PC account and you can download what it uploaded to its cloud (even if you didn't give it permission to do so or don't use Onedrive). Hope this helps others having an issue with settings not saving or saves loading previous save states/missing.

Hello Rab Bit Yesterday I played the game for a bit, made some progress. Saved the game. Today I pressed continue and I started all over again? Why? I was looking for that save folder in Appdata but there is no folder for the parasites. So where are the save gone? I can't bother playing the game if I can't progress Update: I found the folder, There are some save folders there, But still I can't load any save. WHY? Please help with that. Like I said, I can't be bothered playing a game and invest in it if I can't progress Update: Well, it seems that the bed saves is bugged. So saving through the cheat menu does the job. Also, I know it's a known issue, but need to fix the fact the key bindings are reset every time you exit the game.

Bug report: Using the sit animation near an interactable object that causes a change in anination (going to bed) causes your character to be locked in a sit animation and can not be stopped unless you re-load the game.

Sounds like a corrupted download if you can see it in the rar but it's not there when you extract it - have you tried extracting just the exe file to see if it throws an error?

I found the exe in BreeZip app in the rar. But when I extract it into a folder on the desktop, the executable is not visible. Got Steam to see it, but when I launch its an error immediately.

Hey Daniel, did you download the Yandex version? If so, open the RAR file, and you should see TP_Alpha, click on that and you'll see a Windows directory so open that - the exe file should be in there. I think the directory structure is set as part of the compiler build, hence it may not be obvious where the exe file is.

still having problems.. no exe file in the folder... Steam doesnt recognize it, dude doesnt reply to messages, I'm about to report the account and take my loss of 10 bucks. Nobody here wans to help either. I'll just buy STEAM games from now on, if you cant get it to STEAM release phase, thats your problem. The Forest is the same thing and a better made game anyway.

I finally found it. On a beach on the east side far far away where you find bridges, there's an abandoned car at a beach and it has 2 dildos inside.. I ended up downloading from Yandex. Wasn't too bad. It only took a couple hours, even though it said 2 days on the download.. The trick about adding a shortcut to the file to your google drive then downloading it from there works, thought it's kinda slow.

Download the Yandex link first. When it’s done you’ll see a file. create a new folder on the desktop and extract the data from the downloaded file using right click and save the data in the new folder you made. Delete the downloaded file after and go to steam library. Add no steam game and browse until you find your created folder with the data you saved. Inside the folder look for The Parasite logo, that’s the link you want.

I do get the game, but the textures aren't loading properly, and I can't seem to save the game. I did look for the save file location, but it's not in the folder, that's why I'm curious if there is more files in the other downloads.

FYI The MEGA d/l is pretty fast, about an hour. You can get around the limit cap by using a VPN if you have one. d/l 5gb, then switch IPs, and continue d/l

For those that using Windows such as desktop Steam deck, Ally X: download Yandex file, EXTRACT the file to a newly shortcut folder on your desktop, Go to Steam library, “add non steam game”, browse your folder to find desktop folder you just made, find the parasite launch link inside the folder (should have same icon as the demo, launch the game. Only uses keyboard at the moment

if you really care that much you can turn off perma death mode or something, this way you can die, you will keep your remaining lives and you will respawn on the last sleeping place you used i believe.

downloaded via the google drive link, works perfectly, took 10 min. easy .exe find within the folders, have been playing for roughly 8/9 hours total and am now on day 4 somewhere on the beach near 2 shipwrecks. loving the game so far! went straight into survival because i wanted to get surprised, easy to understand gameplay loop no fuss, no muss.

I don't think the totems are active yet to get more lives, but again this is still a survival horror game so there's risks to it. just like the forest or any other survival game.

Hey, New Subscriber here! Google Drive works, would recommend using a M.2 and/or Solid State Drive for the download (~<18 minutes). the OG mechanical HHDs just take forever (2+ hours), even on speedy wifi and VPN use.

In case you cant get the game to run simply by clicking and launching the downloaded application.exe file, try this: -------------------------------------------- 1. Download from one of the mirrors (I used Yandex Mirror) 2. Right click and extract the file 3. Add game to your Steam Library, through "add non-steam game" function 4. Launch Game
