It's unclear if Laura's ghost was real or just an illusion based on Keith's memories. To me, it seems most likely that it was an illusion. Saria's ghost does seem real, but it's hard to tell. It could be anything since the masks are like gods. (Demi-gods, I think?) Also, where is it implied that Rose can read minds?

What just popped into my head, since we’re pretty sure that Natani’s Heart’s Desire Curse brought back Laura for that short amount of time. From both Ghost Laura and Ghost Saria, the latter of whom Ephemural brought back briefly, the afterlife in TwoKinds seems to be like being in limbo, waiting for something. What if Natani performed the curse on Rose at her request upon Rose learning of Natani’s Curse’s result with Keith. It’s almost implied that Rose can read the mind as well, which means Rose might know already about Natani’s curse, it’s results, and it’s consequences. another thought, could Rose’s being weaved into the manor cause the manor to fuel the curse with no harm to rose while she remains on site?

It's been awhile since I've gone through and read or listened to anything on how to make good art with themes and the like, but I do remember the fact that having large, empty space like this is actually what you should do. Less is more. The empty space helps convey the feeling of loneliness. It also helps convey the feeling of not having anything anymore that rose is probably feeling right about now.

Can one imagine how she felt though? The only human who she could have called her friend gone...and when her master came back, he was no longer the man he used to be. From a mildly racist but overall decent Templar husband, into an omnicidal, genocidal maniac. Given all that Rose has been through, this picture really emphasises just how alone and sorrowful she is at this moment. It really is no wonder that she weeps...
