Hiatus catch-up Part 2 - Joe stuff

One of the last strips I did before the hiatus were a little christmas special of sorts, where I teased I had plans to flesh Joe out more:

I did end up doing a 10-part strip where I did just that (which will factor into the drawpoll I'll post soon AND Outclassed 2) but there was some lead up to it! These pics make up most of that.

The first pic was just a nice back view of Joe. I just really like that pattern of body hair that sort of looks like cute lil wings and figured it'd look good on him.

The next 4 pics form a little "Joe tries too hard and self-sabotages" story. The first and third are the ones I put the most effort into of course, the second one was a little shitpost, that Jordan Peterson book edit just jumped to mind for some reason.

After these pics I asked the daring question, "what if Joe can grow a decent looking beard but keeps shaving it because he's self-conscious about his white hairs and how old it makes him look?" and it took me by surprise how many people started simping for the character immediately. I asked on Twitter, what would people like to see more from me in 2024 and Joe took up the majority of the responses, leading to the new year's pic (suddenly relevant again).

Next there's a silly two parter with his coworker Larry, I figured I hadn't drawn him in forever.

Then Joe dressed in a silly waiter's outfit, this was a little Twitter trend for a while, he narrowly won a poll to be the one to wear it.

Next we have the two-part sauna one where we get to see Joe self-sabotage again, people have been asking for a return of the german shepherd here and I'll just say- we'll see.

The last one's a side view of Joe with the Fibonacci spiral, a twitter mutual had done one of these "draw your OC like this", I think Joe fits the figure the best.
