On the subject of commissions...
Added 2022-05-02 15:56:19 +0000 UTCSo, for personal reasons I have gotten busier the last couple months. You guys might have noticed that I've lowered the number of commissions I was doing from five to three a month, which I find way more manageable.
Well, due to recent developments I'll be even busier (but in a good way! good things are happening!) and it seems like I might have to push that a little further and just not do commissions anymore.
Commissions are definitely the most time consuming part of this (job?); and I'll be frank, while I occasionally get some requests that make me go "oh God yes this is something I'd just draw for fun myself", I do get a lot that I don't get much enjoyment out of, and due to the way Patreon works I don't really have any way of screening people's requests before they pledge.
So, I would like to ask you guys, since you're pledging to the highest tier and one of the benefits is getting to see commissions early, if we can reach a compromise:
Would you guys be ok if I stopped making commissions and instead did an extra drawpoll + reward per month?
It would lighten my workload considerably and I'd still be delivering enough content to justify your additional support.
I would still do commissions this month to give people one last chance to get one (unless the support for the change is overwhelmingly positive, in which case I'm down to start doing double the drawpolls right away).
So, what do you guys think? I'm doing this in form of a poll to gauge the general consensus more accurately, but you guys are more than free to let me know what you think in the comments.
Regardless of the outcome, I cannot thank you all enough for your support.
For the record, the remaining ten pages of Outclassed are finished ahead of time in case I can't work on the comic, so this won't affect the Saturday schedule in any way (I've had a perfect streak for two years and I don't want to break it, dammit).
