Best seen with Natsu, if spells are fueled by magic power, and emotions can amplify that power like adrenaline, then of course feelings can change the magic power. That may be harder for say, Lucy, who is a summoning wizard though.

2023-04-14 19:05:35 +0000 UTCWhich is really sad, because of the deaths we've had like Simon, or Ur, and Lucy's dad, have really felt good. Hiro Mashima can totally do good character deaths, (which we see this arc and going forward), I just wished that he committed to them more.

2023-04-14 19:02:53 +0000 UTCI actually forgot how long the hungry wolf knight fights went on for. In my memory they were shorter

2023-04-14 06:30:48 +0000 UTCAnd its not like there ISNT death at all. We've seen a couple bad guys and minor side characters get offed (i.e. Zankrow, Hades, Azuma & Zoldeo from Tenrou arc, Simon in the Tower of Heaven, etc.). It's just hard to really recognize that they died bc they show doesn't make a big to-do about it (outside of simon, but his death directly affected Erza & Natsu's mental state in the moment. other villain deaths were just "yay we beat them! they're dead now btw". It's just not a show where they want our main characters to lose the do-or-die battles.

2023-04-14 05:34:51 +0000 UTCyea the hungry wolf knights are one of my least favorite minor enemies they've faced. like i know a lot of the fight set ups show our guys at a disadvantage for a bit before they come up with a better strategy or extra burst of power that lets them win, but these fights made that switch from winning to losing so freaking quickly. lucy & yukino vs uosuke was better in terms of struggle scaling but there was so much dialogue in between and cut aways to other fights that it still felt slow. Natsu's fight was the only one where he didn't seem to be getting the crap beaten out of him before he turned it around but his fight was so short and boring that it wasn't as entertaining. The next parts of the arc tho are the best. we're only just starting to get to the good part.

2023-04-14 05:19:59 +0000 UTCYa this arch is just going to get more epic, and as for the power of friendship. I think people just don't like that there is no real death in a series like this, I could be wrong. But I think that is at least one big reason, I don't have a problem with people who like the depressing and sad anime's. But that's the one genre that I stay away from, I'm depressed enough as it is I don't need to watch it. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind death in an anime. I'm more talking about anime like Akame ga Kill, and Clannad those kinds of anime are just not for me. Anyway can't wait to see more of this epic arch.

2023-04-14 04:48:01 +0000 UTCI love Aquarius in these episodes 😂. Woman showed up and chose violence. “How ‘bout we just kill him?” 😂

2023-04-14 03:38:14 +0000 UTCThe hungry wolf knights are probably one of the lamest groups, and they kinda kill the pacing of the story, but they lasted fewer episodes then I remember at least lol
