MASSIVE PATREON CHANGES TO NAKAMA + WARLORD TIER
Added 2023-02-01 18:44:06 +0000 UTCAs most of you may know I am right around the corner of catching up in One Piece
I have 1037-1045 going out today for Warlord tier and it looks like i'll be caught up within the next few days or next week.
Obviously I have done SIGNIFICANTLY more than I have ever originally intended. But obviously as I've said before I don't plan on riding out the YouTube uploads as I want to be able to be current and make videos around current events. I am partnering with my editor to get a flood of One Piece put out on YouTube so I can be current on YT.
This causes some conflict with the Nakama $5 tier since only 6 episodes per week release on that tier with an expectation that this tier would be a month ahead of YT.
This will no longer be the case due to the changes coming. The $5 Nakama tier will continue to receive its 6 episodes per week with the $10 tier getting things as soon as they are done.
However, February will be the last month that One Piece will be available on the $5 tier. Anything else I do will still remain up on the $5 tier but One Piece specifically will be transitioning to only the Warlord Tier as of March 1st.
Obviously this is a massive change and if anyone wants a refund for this month you can absolutely message me and I can issue that refund. This is a big decision but I think its the best decision to keep everyone in the community on the same page without trying to juggle two tiers and what goes out when.
I hope this decision makes sense and we can continue to experience the chaotic world of One Piece for many years to come. Any questions obviously feel free to post them here. I'll do my best to answer them all.

2023-02-08 11:32:00 +0000 UTCWell, I'm (sadly) leaving. Doubling the price of the only thing people come to watch is in no way, shape or form justifiable, so it's literally just a weird attempt to drain more money out of the fanbase.

2023-02-05 07:15:04 +0000 UTCmy bad I deleted your comment by mistake Lou, hope it wasn't anything important. I have rectified this from feedback on the most recent post Wizkev and Lou. You all are right, it was something that didn't cross my mind until people mentioned it. I hope this new way is helpful

2023-02-05 02:07:44 +0000 UTCPretty sure you’re not allowed to release a full episode of one piece on your yt but idk the exact rules. Anyways the new new changes seem to work

2023-02-04 23:08:34 +0000 UTCThis is a good point and one I don't think Ruff is considering. This is coming from someone from the Warlord tier list, so I'm only commenting on this because Wizkev made a fair point, because I also preffered the uncut videos over the ones on YouTube on either tierlist (I used to be on Nakama tier list)

2023-02-04 20:56:18 +0000 UTCI see it similar like Alexander Bo. In my opinion there would be no reason to continue the Warlord Tier, if there are no early Access OP videos. I would love it if OP continues on Nakama until we catch up too. Warlord could be used to give access to other early access videos instead, or simply just be obsolete. But yeah. For me it's clear: I will not continue to support here on Patreon, if OP vanishes on the Nakama tier. I only subscribed cause I wanted to watch the full reaction and not the cut versions on Youtube. Nakama was perfect for it and also the only one I am able to pay. I don't have the means to pay for the Warlord Tier, even if I would love to see all the other reactions and not be forced to stop at the end of February.

2023-02-04 19:35:42 +0000 UTCNot gonna lie I think these changes are kinda unfair. The main reason I'm subscribed on the Nakama tier (for now) is for the uncut version, I'm not really interrested in the early reactions. Now I have to pay 10$ every month to keep enjoying the uncut reactions, wich as a student, i wouldn't be able to afford. But I'm not sure if i'm understanding this correctly : Will the Nakama tier will be caught up with the uncut reactions until the end of the month ? If yes, then i do understand the decision because that means that we will still be able to enjoy the uncut reactions (unlike youtube) before the change. But if not, does that mean that we (Nakama tier) will have to go youtube to get caught up on the reactions with the cut versions ?

2023-02-04 19:34:47 +0000 UTCRight, there will be no reason to have Warlord tier because there will be no early Access One Piece Videos 💁🏼♂️

2023-02-04 18:17:50 +0000 UTCAs Ruff explained pretty well in his reply another thing i may want to add is that right now, in terms of patreon, the only thing that warlord tier has that nakama doesnt is those early one piece episodes that get uploaded as soon as they are edited where as nakama get episodes that release on a schedule similar to youtube but just ahead of them. The main problem with this is that once he catches up to the anime currently then it will end up releasing only 1 episode per week and nakama will catch up to warlord in which there will be no reason to have warlord tier. IMO it makes perfect sense to change one piece to warlord only that way people who have that tier currently do not feel as though they are getting cheated. Although I may also be wrong.
2023-02-04 17:10:07 +0000 UTCmy fault, for me it's € and not $, that's why I was a bit confused, the point is that the warlord tier was for early access onepiece episodes, in about 4 months we would also have caught up on the nakama tier and then of course there would no longer be any early access, which would then eliminate the need for the warlord tier for one-piece viewers. Of course I understand that it is annoying that you have followers at 2 different points in time of the anime and you would like to bring them together to bring more content, manga, theory, etc but to be honest, $10 a month for one piece is too much for me, but of course it's your patreon and your decision

2023-02-04 08:29:09 +0000 UTCI completely understand wanting to unsubscribe due to the change. This was something I expected. The issue stems from the tiers overlapping as I catch up to OP. The overlap is only happening because of how much OP I decided to deliver the past two months to the $10 tier that I didn't have too. This decision is because in terms of the typical reaction style Ive done is shifting. That type of reaction content I am focused on my group channel Nani no Anime. We're putting out about 14 videos per week over there. The RuffSenpai brand I am focusing on just creating content around OP mostly. Sure I will finish Fairy Tail because I've already committed to it as well as some one off series that wouldn't make sense to do on NNA. I am taking everyones feedback into consideration. But I can't say anything will be changing as of now. That may change if I find a way that makes sense. But atm this is the change that made the most sense to myself and everyone else I have run it by that does content

2023-02-04 02:39:25 +0000 UTCIt's $10 for Warlord that is not increasing. I don't know where people are getting $11 from. Also it will be the episode and chapter reactions alongside anything else I do. I am aware it won't be something everyone will be willing to do and if it doesn't seem worth it I would encourage people to unsubscribe and either move that $5 over to Nani no Anime which is where most of my other reactions will be or put it towards another creator. There is just no more early since I will be caught up and if we're referring to value we can look at the amount of episodes I have put out in the past two months which I obviously did not need to do. I am expecting a massive drop in patreon subs due to this change because I understand it won't be worth it for a large chunk of people.
Billy Joe
2023-02-04 02:31:59 +0000 UTCIs it going up to $11? Because I think that might be to much for me. I know its just $1, but the value to me wouldn't be there.

2023-02-03 10:23:55 +0000 UTCI am honest, I dont really get the decision. I am subscribed to the Nakama Tier, not because we are ahead of YT, but because I am able to watch the full reaction/episode. The One Piece reactions are also the only ones I am watching and why I am here in the first place. Removing them from the 5$ Tier feels a little unfair, since we don't get the opportunity to catch up fully with your reactions. If One Piece really gets removed, then I will leave too. I am not able or willing to suddenly pay 11$ a month, just so I am able to watch your full reaction to an episode.
Akki
2023-02-03 06:54:24 +0000 UTCIf your One Piece reactions will still release this month, I don't need my money back. Even if it won't release, I subscribed, because I wanted to. This is your patreon account, so you can change things as you like

2023-02-03 05:27:30 +0000 UTCI just want to add that I think it would be fair to rather just abandon the warlord super early upload tier rights for one piece, but keep one piece in the 5$ pool. I personally think It is very important for Reacting-folks to have that ability to watch full uncut reactions. While I myself am a Warlord-abuser, I can really see the points of others that wouldn't like this choice. Especially since the mainstream folks of followers would be here for One Piece specifically. To not have the 5$ Tier for simple early/full-uncut reactions buton the 10$ Tier which would only have 1 Upload at 1 Week relevant for OP only Patreon Subscribers wouldn't be justified for many people. There will be other series worth of super early uploads that would replace One Piece in that regard like Fairy Tail could be. So that would still be relevant for people interested in these early-uploads

2023-02-03 01:23:29 +0000 UTCYea, that's what I am understanding from this too, which doesn't really feel right, so I am wondering if I am misunderstanding...
Spikà
2023-02-02 23:09:29 +0000 UTCSo we pay $5 a month for 6 uncut one-piece episodes per week until February and then from March it will be $11 per month for a single uncut episode per week? I'm not the best at math, but that's a roughly 1300% increase in cost Of course the manga will follow, but I don't think that's entirely justified
Alexander Bo
2023-02-02 22:39:12 +0000 UTCI don't know. The reason I'm subscribed (nakama) isn't because we're ahead of YouTube but because I can watch your video in full length..
