I know there wasn’t a massive power up but there was a power up and wano makes it feel like there was. And tbh based on how the arcs going I agree with their decision for making it this way. Imo it sets the stage and really makes you “feel” the power emanating from the fighters

Ruffsenpai, just a heads up, Toei animations recently made an announcement on twitter admitting they overdid some of the post-processing / effects during the Wano Arc compared to the manga, and are going to tune it down a bit. This is mainly relating to the visual effects of "aura" around Haki. I personally don't mind it too much, there's nothing wrong with making a scene more "epic" with animation, but it does make it seem like there was a PRETTY SHOCKING "power-up" out of nowhere compared to Whole Cake and Dressrosa. The biggest example I can think of is when luffy went all rage-mode in the 1st Act of Wano; and made Luffy look like he went Kaio-Ken against Kaido with the red aura around him. There was no massive/ominous "red aura" around Luffy in the manga. [The following link is a single panel from the manga of Act 1 wano, a scene you've already caught up to in the anime. I just wanted to include it as reference of how there was no massive "aura" around Luffy in the Manga] https://scans-hot.leanbox.us/manga/One-Piece-Digital-Colored-Comics/0922-021.png Again, there's no reason not to enjoy the animation, but just keep in mind that there wasn't some massive power-up between the past and current arc.
