there was a scene in a previous episode where he was talking to one of makaroves enemys and was saying how he needed to stay in line and put his life on the line in order for there plan to come into fruistion

2022-12-12 23:13:14 +0000 UTCone of the main reasons fairytail was hated is becaus of clifhangers and multiple time skips it released on a week to week basis and after the 174 it went on a 2year break irl with the last couple of arc ranging between weekly and monthly releas dates, the nature of clifhangers is higher then your normal anime , with this and some other reasons that i cant say becaus it would spoil to much makes fairytail hated
