I think ketchup is generally the same but the ingredients and taste might be different. From my experience food it the US tends to be a lot sweeter than in the UK. Your bread for example tastes more like cake to me lol. The Irish court even announced that Subway's "bread" didn't qualify as bread as it had too much sugar in it. Irish law says sugar, fat and "bread improver" cant exceed 2% the weight of the flour. Subway's bread was 10% sugar.
