I love dressrossa as a story and now that all the episodes are out and I can binge it, it's great (anime still drags its feet in places but that's just 2015 toei for ya) but that initial watchthrough when it was coming out was like trekking across the fucking desert without a drink for miles. I have no doubt you'll love it though. it's a wild ride.

i just did the math if you do 6 episodes a week you will finish dressrosa sometime in june thats 5 months for one arc.

The filler here is really cute and a nice “extra” adventure for Luffy and Law. Maybe one day you want to watch it. Please let us know when you! I would love a stream like that!

Hey Ruff so one thing you might have missed is that Baby 5 and Buffalo said to Law "Joker wants you to sit on THE heart chair". Therefore when you see Doflamingo talking to his officers you can see a full "playing card suite" if you will with Diamond (the man that kept talking with Dofla), Heart (empty), Spades and Clover. Now... remember what Doflamingo's alias in the underground trading industry is? JOKER.

However, I am not sure if others told you (in youtube, Patreon, twitch, or discord) but at the end of the filler on Episode 628, there is a little bit of canon stuff at the end of the episode. From minute 19:35 till the end of the episode on VRV, it shows how Doflamingos' influence affects the rest world and you get some newspaper reactions. I like that chain of mentorship from Garp to Kuzan to Smoker. Garp is also mentoring Coby and Helmeppo. He's basically ensuring that their particular type of Justice continues to exist in a Navy that's now under Akainu's philosophy.

something i find interesting is G5 is like one of the main navy groups that are shown to be somewhat alright (being lead by smoker and tashigi helps). at the same time they are the rougest least navy like group its basically a pirate group of the navy
