Reading/watching some arcs in the new world week to week was pretty difficult to be honest the pacing did feel too slow, but I dont think Oda writes One Piece to be read week to week. It would mess the flow in the volumes, for people either catching up or re-reading it. Dressrosa was published over about 100 chapters over2 years, so yeah it was a long wait. On re-reading Dressrosa I think most people agree that the pacing is good and it's a good arc.

I once heard Vergo and Monet are like the Zoro and Nami of Doflamingo's crew. The main difference is not in them, but on their captain accepting their sacrifice at all. That's something Luffy wouldn't do. Still love to see this kind of parallels

The reason why Monet and Vergo are so willing to die is because they believe in Doflamingo so much. Remember back in Thriller Bark when both Zoro and Sanji were willing to sacrifice their lives in order to save Luffy. It's the same here. Monet and Vergo are willing to sacrifice themselves if it means that Doflamingo's goals can be reached because they believe fully in him.

more then what they had actually, luffy basically had to take on power he normally didn't have in order to start to hurt him that led to his defeat.

I like the idea of a proper cut version without all the filters and sh*t, because I was not looking forward to watching a full version of Dressrosa again. Dressrosa is not a "bad" arc per se, but the animation and pacing for it is some of the worst the series have ever seen (of course not ALL of it, but the vast majority of it).
