(Also an amazing show that deserves a watch/read) in that they are both main characters that start off with nothing and have to earn their power. Like sure Asta was “given” the Grimoire when it chose him but 1) Same with everyone else with a grimoire and 2) it would be USELESS without all that strength training he did.

I only like One Piece better for long running shonens, and honestly if black clover was same length and keeps it pacing for that long then black clover would take the number 1 spot. One piece has just so much that has happened in it, also it does take the cake for world building so far.

You didn't let that persuade you or ruin your experience with the show. Black Clover is my favorite new generation anime by far, and I cant wait to go on the rest of this journey with you
